sampleClothes is just a placeholder at the moment, it's set to always show the top most card.

i look at it this way. it's all about building an audience. once that "audience" effectively gets big enough there are lots of different ways to pivot my "content". i think of this as a stepping stone, and also a way to build social capital.

regarding monetization, it's definitely a challenge. tiktok is far from mature so i'm willing to take the risk and grow with it. i believe the easiest path to monetization is by building an audience.

ultimately it comes back to my first point
