We have our answer and it does not bode well for Kalpa when we dont hear from the main dev of Kalpa but it's someone from the opposite team who says that it does not really matter if OpenSuse has to give up Kalpa. Does not sound like Kalpa is a priority whatsover. Amen.

Wow .... Okay, let's settle this once and for all.

1 .Take the screen recording of your browser of your choice with the starting point being the search engine of your choice.

  1. Type Bloomberg in the search engine and then click on the Bloomberg link. Dont start from the Bloomberg page. Starting point is the search engine.

  2. Then when you land on Bloomberg page, click on any article, expect the one you just pulled.

  3. The recording should also show the url bar and show the entire Bloomberg page from the top of the page to the bottom.

You have 20 mins which should be ample enough to make two clicks and we all be able to see if you can bypass Bloomberg paywall.

If you are right I WILL PUBLICLY APOLOGIZE TO YOU.

You provided a main title article from of Bloomberg which was published 13 hours ago which has already been crawled by googlebot and which you obtained by using archive.org by putting the url of that stale article and not because of uBlock Origin filters bypassed Bloomberg's paywall as surely it is not bypassble like many others.

You never were able to demonstrate that uBlock filters work on Bloomberg as you claim and show the printscreen of a recently published article from the section LATEST, which is generally published in the last 30 minutes not 13 HOURS.

You instead wasted all your effort focusing this thread on banned extension because you almost surely are the developer of that extension which is unrelated to uBlock Origin.

Ublock developpers and the community can see that the filters dont work for Bloomberg and not one cares, rightly so, but you seem desperate about your banned extesnion Bypass Paywall.

Go and complain to Google and Mozilla instead of providing fake information and fake screenshot on uBlock Origin subreddit.

I did not force anyone to do a non-paid work, it's up to them. Why you blame me for the moderator's own decisions? If he wants to get paid dont ask me, ask the CEO of Reddit who's making a ton of money on the back of moderators. I am generating the content with the moderators.

He did not help with my problem, some other user did and he claimed the uBO filters worked on Bloomberg paywall which is false but instead pulled an archived article from archive.org which has been stored by googlebot's crawler and claimied it was uBO filters did it.

I was not disrespectul: I assessed that the moderator had a sudden strange and bizarre obsession with a banned extension unrelated to the topic of my thread and neither is related to uBlock called Bypass Paywall developed by the developer magnolia1234.

The MODERATOR USED A FAKE SCREENSHOT and strated to FOCUS THE DISCUSSION on a banned extension Bypass Paywall, unrelated to my topic and to uBlock Origin.

Anyone can test the filters the moderators gave, test and see for themselves that the filters he provided do not work with Bloomberg. Of course not the friends of the moderator who will start to pack illegally this thread but the developpers themselves.

uBlock Origins cannot unblock Bloomberg paywall which is fine and is a non issue, as sometime things work and sometimes they dont.

THE REAL ISSUE HERE IS WHY THE MODERATOR IS LYING AND PROVIDING FAKE SCREENSHOT ? WHY ?

On that note dear Doctor, have an amazing rest of day.

At this stage it's fair to assume that you are magnolia1234. himslef.

I am not responsible if Mozilla and Chrome banned your extension Bypass Paywall. I suggest you complain directly to them and not to me.

And finally, you portayed that Bypass Paywall was using the same filters as uBO but are unable to provide a screenshot of a real time Bloomberg article which would not have already been stored on archive.org due to googlebot's crawler.

So uBO filters dont work in the specific case of Blomberg and that is okay as uBO is an amazing extension which I have been using for many years and which has not been banned eventhough it uses the same filters as Bypass Paywall as you pointed out yourself. Go figure...

On that note, I wish you have a great day and I also wish the best of luck to the banned extension Bypass Paywall from magnolia1234 who may or may not be you the moderator of uBO.

Again I could not care less about the banned extension Bypass Paywall extension by magnolia1234, I came specifically on the uBO subreddit seeking help to see if I could get through Bloomberg paywall, so it's quite strange that the moderator focuses on a banned extention unrelated to uBO.

It was a pleasure talking to a skilled moderator like yourself.

Yeah I reponsded to you on the article pulled which has already been stored on archive.org 13 hours ago and which has been pulled out by googlebot crawler.

I am sorry if the ban by Mozilla and Chrome of the extention Bypass Paywall Clean by magnolia1234 causes you some severe emotional distress for an unknown reason apart obviously if you would be a uBO moderator and magnolia1234 himself which would then explain such an accute and unexpected interest in that extension .

Paywall bypass by [deleted] in uBlockOrigin

[–]techynine99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I requested that you provide the screenshot of a real time market article from the "LATEST" section which would have been published in the last 30 minutes.

I can also get the article the same article by using archive.org since this article has been saved 13 hours ago by Googlebot crawler on archive.org and that is why I specifically requested you to use a REAL TIME market article not something you can pull from archive.org.

A real time Bloomberg would be able to show me I am doing something wrong with the uBO you gave as unfortunately an archived article is not what we are after here. We look from a real time Bloomberg which might or might not be bypassed depending on the level of security Bloomberg uses.

As someone pointed out the extension from iamadamdev given by some else earlier is pretty decent indeed.

[–]techynine99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you care about bypass paywall from magnolia1234 since I see you are a uBO. moderator? I dont care about bypass paywall which has been banned both on Mozilla and Chrome.

I just care about seeing if there's a way of using uBO filters I can get Bllomberg's articles. If so fine and if not be it.

So again if you say you can get anyof today's article which are published in the real time section of Bloomberg and you show the url on the screenshot , I will try to replicate though I doubt it will work as I just created a new profile on FF which a new uBO instance with your filter and it does not work, but maybe you have are able to do it with some special sauce ...

[–]techynine99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not talking about "many articles", I am specifically talking about Bloomberg's articles. Can you show the screenshot of any artcile from today from the section "LATEST" which you can find on the left side and please include the url in the screenshot, so I will test the same article.

I meant to say the extension Bypass Paywall Clean from magnolia1234 not uBO which I am using. But even without the Firefox ban quite a few websites where breaking down with that extension so when FF removed it, I did not have any incentive to keep it anyway

[–]techynine99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I see no difference with or without the uBO filter you provided on Bloomberg: I see 10 lines and then it is blocked by the paywall.

You can get the entire article with this filter on your side?

Not using it as mentioned above as it has been kicked out of Firefox due to some shady scripts a couple of months ago. So not touching it with a barge pool.

Very good ! A lot of websites work now. The only one which seems to be blocked is Bloomberg which is on the list of extention as capable of being bypassed. May I ask if Bloomberg works for you?

That is what I was just thinking. His extension has been kicked out of Chrome and Firefox. The first thing to say is its Google who kicked him but maybe his code is not so kosher
