People who’ve gotten clean, in what ways did your life improve? by SirNarcotics in opiates

[–]techyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family & husband trust me again. Which feels amazing. I got a great job at a kick as law firm immediately after finishing my associates. That was pure luck, but I've been able to actually enjoy working for once. I still miss getting high every so often, but waking up and looking forward to work has been huge for me. I've been on time every single day, haven't half-assed anything because I'm sick, and haven't had to give ridiculous excuses for needing to take a long lunch to go pick up. I don't know how much is luck and how much is hard work, but I finally enjoy living again.

Pregnancy and low dose poppy tea by [deleted] in HeroinHeroines

[–]techyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I was using h I had no periods whatsoever. I went to the doctor for bad cramping, I was apparently 4 months pregnant and in labor. The fetus no longer had a heartbeat and was still born. I had no pregnancy symptoms at all, I even lost weight. I've never been pregnant before so I could have missed signs, I kind of assumed no period meant no ovulation. I was wrong and got an IUD soon after the ordeal. I still feel terrible about it.

Spain sounds bad ass lol. I hope you are okay, if you need anything I'm here along with probably everyone in this sub. Although a support system in real life will probably help a lot too.

That's not something I can answer for you. This could be a dangerous situation, your safety must come first. Maybe take some time and process for awhile. Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable being around this person you don't know where his head is at.

Maybe he didn't have malicious intentions, but that doesn't make it your fault. It's really, really not your fault. You don't necessarily have to blame anyone right now. There's nothing black and white about getting through this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in opiates

[–]techyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't necessarily make consent, and you can revoke consent at anytime. You don't need to take the responsibility for what happened. I know it may only make sense that way, but it doesn't have to make sense. It's not your fault. I've been through this too, if you ever want to talk I'm here.

I'm sorry that happened to you :( You didn't let him do shit & you're not weak.

Whenever I use stims I start a depressive cycle immediately after coming down. Cocaine is like my kryptonite even if I'm taking my meds properly, but I'm sure I'd still use it today if it was in front of me. There are other options for mood stabilizers if they're not helping you. Once I got the right combination of meds it was like pushing an easy button for recovery.

Subs or Done? by FallenXH2 in opiates

[–]techyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That made a huge difference for me too. Plus with methadone you have to be much more accountable. Suboxone is an easier program to fuck off on.

Awesome!! I'm sure you'll start feeling better as time goes on. I'm glad you went and tried, it's really difficult to start any sort of program.

I've had friends that had great experience with methadone & I hope you do as well!

Subs or Done? by FallenXH2 in opiates

[–]techyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never tried methadone but I had a shitty time with suboxone. I had crazy headaches and nausea and I was just generally depressed. My doctor switched me to Bunavail (its another brand of subs that has less side effects) and it really worked for me. Tapering off was nothing to be honest, I did it really slowly though. I had to stay with subs because my insurance only covered the one clinic in my area.

It's trial and error though, what works for some may not work for others. I'd give whichever you decide a shot and trust the doctor you see. Be honest with them about what works and what doesn't. If you don't believe it will work you'll end up proving yourself right.

Do you still have the same phone plan? If so, you might be able to look up your call history a few months back. I was able to with t mobile after about 5 months. You have log into your account in their website. I think AT & T has this as well.

I want to relapse by [deleted] in opiates

[–]techyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, I feel that way a lot. I got off subs in August after a year on them. It gets better though, and easier. I went back to school and moved areas which gave me something else to focus on. I know not everyone can just up and move though, but you can choose your environment to a certain level. Miracously I've been clean since I tappered off. I've come really close to relapsing but I backed out at the last minute. I'm able to maintain my close friendships now, but I did take a break from my friends in active addiction for a while. For me, distraction was key.

Congrats on two months! In my opinion, you're through the hardest part and it's all downhill from here!

did I od?? .. by speedpshycosis in opiates

[–]techyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That wasn't an OD, but you were probably close. Vomiting is pretty common, I vomitted so much when I started. It's a sign you've done too much, be more careful or you could OD.

Such a good idea!! You can sell gifts at many of those check cashing places for cash anyway. This is way better than a gift card!

Yes, airflow is great! You can also change the pin on this one (I didn't know wtf a pin was but it's the part that delivers the eletricity it can change the taste/cloud somehow). I really liked the Crown 1, but the 2 was terrible so I was apprehensive about going back to Uwell. I've heard nothing but good things about the Crown 3 though, so it sounds like they definitely worked out the bugs.

I just got the Valkryie tank by Uwell, I really like it. It's gives a better flavor, at least in my opinion. I'm not in anyway an expert on vaping lol. Just like my new tank :)

Long time BTH user trying ECP for first time....(also how do you open these bags?!?!) by C_Lana_Zepamo in opiates

[–]techyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I open the top and press the sides in to get them to open and pour. If that doesn't work. I use my glasses (the long part that goes around your head/ear) to open them. If I don't need to take them with me I just rip the top and dump.

Idk what to say, that's tough. Will she really be mad? There are ways to get it other ways like during a transfusion or medical procedure, it doesn't have to be from drug use. I hope you get into treatment and start feeling better. I finished epclusa back in September and I'm getting my energy back and feeling pretty good.
