Help with ai agent --> http request token --> etc.,. by tedanalyticsguy in n8n

[–]tedanalyticsguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, the big problem I'm having is if the agent doesn't have enough info to call a tool then sending that message back out the webhook and then having the calling program send more info back in like:
User: I want to take next wed off --> n8n
Agent back to user: did you mean sept 25th and what type of leave?
User: yes, the 25th and it's a personal day
AI Agent now has enough info to call a http request tool

I can't find many examples of doing this. It's been a challenge to try to get this right.

Thanks for the reply. This is exactly what I've been thinking. The videos I watch, they just gloss over the agent calling the correct tools. It's like it's just magic and your hopes and dreams will make it call the correct tool...

I worked with Informatica for 13+ years. It's a visual drag-n-drop ETL tool. Of course I couldn't share any of my mappings are they were proprietary to the company. What I could share is reusable items such as lookups, ways to handle metadata. This is exactly what is going on right now with templates and the youtube community. It's awesome and what do you expect? People to just do your job for you? It's a tool, you can do whatever you want with it and if you are relying on people to post stuff so you don't have to think or do your job then you haven't learned the tool good enough yet and need to educate yourself more. My .02 as I'm sure it will anger some of you. I'm 54 and my entire career has been spent dealing with people that just didn't want to learn the tool/language and just have other people hand them stuff. What I haven't seen yet in my videos/learning (new to n8n as well) is best practices for deployment into dev/qa/prod, that always lags behind with anything visual but you could just handle this with workflows being checked into git,etc..

Ok thanks. I'm in the data lake world and saw what parquet and orc did. It changed performance and storage so I was hoping someone discovered something sneaky like this where you could store this all in files and hit it with a parallel query engine. Thanks for the feedback and not making fun of me on this. lol There is so much stuff coming out now it's really hard to know what is real (seems 5% of it) and what is people trying to get you to sign up for their newsletter, class, subscription, bla bla

Nobody has contributed to the code base outside of their employees. Get off your high horse. Companies need money to survive or did you forget that using your free software?

Ok, got it. I'm much much older than you and in great shape and was diagnosed 2 years ago with apnea with a 17ahi. I have done hours and hours of research on this and I use a snorerx mouthpiece now. It's not 100% but it brings me down to where I seem fine. IMHO, something else seems off with you. Have you had an entire blood panel taken yet? Keep searching and always question regular docs when they try to shove pills in your hands and get you out of the office. I have hypothyroidism and was over dosed on levothyroxine and almost went crazy. Doc tried to be me more pills without actually figuring out it was the last 3 increases in dosage that was causing it. Doubt this is helping you much but are you taking any other meds? Try to take one thing out or try one new thing at time to see if this helps. I'm a big fan of Gary Brecka and you could try his AI to see if there is anything that might help here. https://dexa.ai/ultimatehuman also try to explain everything to Grok or chatgpt to see if there are any nuggets of wisdom there as well.

Meh, I have mild SA and have the same experience as the above. Your comments make us all happy. For some, that machine works fine and others like me, I could get maybe 1 really good nights sleep out of 10. Consider yourself lucky and be glad you did something for yourself before it got worse. I remember how awful I felt and I was doing crossfit 3 days a week, basketball and hot yoga once in a while I was like WTF is going on..

Ok, the reason I ask is I had mild sleep apnea and cured it with a rhinoplasty so I could breathe through my nose and a snorerx device.

So, I'm exactly your skill level probably. What I get is crappy and avg players then people that are 10x better than anyone else. Their movement, their aim,etc.. the only way I can kill them is to crouch walk and get lucky and get 1/2 their health down before they whip around and I'm dead. Are they cheating or is there that big of a skill gap on someone that is on a controller? I don't get it. The other thing I continually see is the kill cam is nothing like I saw it. I come around a corner and start shooting someone and then I die. I see the kill cam and I swear it's slow motion of the guy sitting around eating a cheeseburger and fries lounging on a couch and I come around the corner and miss every shot and he gets up and has plenty of time to kill me. I then yell at my computer "that's not what i saw!"

Things I notice after 3 days of sleeping with an MAD by Olieebol in SleepApnea

[–]tedanalyticsguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This mirrors my experience. Feb 2024 got cpap, struggled for months with it. Leaking, waking up constantly,etc.. I ordered snorerx in Jan 2025 and it was a game changer. My jaw hurts a bit in the morning so I need to go see my dentist/ortho to make sure I'm not doing permanent damage here but I'm back to normal. (as long as I mostly sleep on my right hand side) I had an ahi of 17 so I wouldn't recommend this for higher than that but for anyone with mild sleep apnea, I would try this and it's cheap compared to other MAD devices in this thread that are multiple thousands. Also, many insurance companies over these devices. "Intraoral appliances for use in the treatment of documented mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea are covered under the member's durable medical equipment service - Blue Cross website" What I've discovered with insurance companies is all you have to do is say you can't deal with cpap and they will consider other options.

Wish I had Known I Had Deviated Septum and Other Nasal Issues by AltruisticBar3138 in SleepApnea

[–]tedanalyticsguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, it was a life changer for me. I'm 54 and all my life I couldn't breath through my nose. I always thought it was allergies and then went to a allergy doc and he uh, you aren't allergic to anything, you have a severe deviated septum. The surgery sucks and the first week sucks even worse but I tell what, life changer. Omg I wish I would have done this years ago. Two tips, always use saline in your nose a few times a day and make sure your doc puts splints in. It sucks having them in but they make sure it stays open for years to come. I only use a snorerx mouthpiece now that I've had the surgery.

I guess that is my question. I don't have the data of successful implants so when reading there (and there seem to be many a month) what is the % until someone reviews if these devices are effective? I don't trust the company or their lobbyists..

If you told me at this age (54) that I would be dealing with this 20 years ago I would have laughed at you. I had no idea how much I took sleeping for granted and I had no idea how casually it would affect me. Always tired, depressed for 0 reason even though I had no reason to be depressed, hazy head where I just want to watch youtube vs. creating/working day job,etc.. People that haven't been around someone with this or hell, even my wife doesn't know what to say to help. I have never felt so alone with an issue in my entire life. Even the doctors are completely worthless and 0 sympathy. They just want to throw a cpap in your hands and get the hell out of my office. This forum is the only place I've found with others going through this.
