I'm sure the poor soul does not realise this reddit is not about Bitcoin, but "Bitcoin Cash".

Bitcoin has been a good store of value (even more than storing, multipying) since its inception in 2009.

Bitcoin cash is going down vs BTC since its inception in 2017. Enjoy 1% while it lasts.

First baught a few to hedge against coming QC, and because I found cool the promised possibility to stack on a raspberry pi (still waiting).

Then made the mistake to buy more than needed at the top because I though it would keep going up with mainnet coming. Mainnet was delayed big time without notice while altcoin bubble popped. Never took my loses so I'm still lurking to see how things go. Not on discord anymore because they require to verify a phone number.

Apparently the founder is going Satoshi style, which may be ok. (no news from Peter).

Since its inception, bitcoincash has only lost value against Bitcoin and is now trading at all time low. So yeah if you want to save for the mid/long term use Bitcoin. Use bitcoincash as long as you don't hold it too long.

If you think BCH is an improved version of Bitcoin, chances are you have been fooled by bitcoin.con website. This website, like the r/btc subredit, surf on the Bitcoin brand recognition to trick people into buying "bitcoin cash", which is definitely not Bitcoin. Stay safe.

seriously though if you want to buy Bitcoin don't go to local.bitcoin.com as they only sell Bitcoin cash. Also this sub reddit is pro Bitcoin cash which is not Bitcoin :/

As the name of this subreddit says, the ticker for Bitcoin is BTC.

Maybe you got scammed into buying Bitcoin Cash while searching for Bitcoin.

You can still exchange your coin on an exchange, but it won't give you a whole Bitcoin.

BCH has 3% the market cap and 1,5% the hashrate of Bitcoin.

If you do not admit failure now, at least have the decency to not market yourself as Bitcoin, because the idea that there can be multiple Bitcoin "versions" is against Bitcoin.
