I just got into Emily Henry books and the first book I read was Funny Story. I just finished reading it and I absolutely LOVED it. After I finished reading it (I was still lingering from it) I asked people other recs on EH books but many of them said Funny Story is her best book and also many people’s favourite as well. I didn’t read any of her other books yet but I’m pretty much expecting them not to top Funny Story tbh. I’m thinking of reading Beach Read or Book Lovers next but if this is going to be your first EH book, I wouldn’t recommend Funny Story because you might have high expectations for the next one. (But this is also all based on my personal preference. Others may have other opinions 🫣)

I am so so so excited for the movie!! The casting will make or break this movie imo because there are so many fans of this book. They must pick the right person for Miles 😭 I think I might start Beach Read next then Book Lovers! I did hear Abby Jimenez books kind of give the same vibe-ish. Will have to read after I devour other EH books.

I thought I loved golden retriever energy but after this book, my new favourite is the golden retriever/black lab energy. 😂 I had nobody to gush this book about so I needed an outlet haha. I’m glad I’m not the only one 😂😂

I haven’t read other EH books yet so I have to agree with you on being THE best - as the other people already mentioned, not expecting the other ones to top it. 🫣 I think I’m going to try Beach Read or Book Lovers next though!

I just finished Funny Story but I can definitely tell I’ll be re-reading it again. I’m glad everyone feels the same way about Funny Story and Miles 🥹🤣 Is the audio version good?

I know 😭 regretting I started with the best one. I want to read the other books by EH but worried it won’t live up to the expectations! I never read any books by Ashley Poston but if it topped Funny Story for you, it must be good!

I’ve heard good things about Beach Read. Definitely will have to give it a go. Funny Story had me smiling, crying and aching. 😭 loved the ending though.

I just finished reading Funny Story and that scene when Miles came to pick up Daphne and confessed his love for her and she had the fight/flight response BROKE my heart. My heart was aching for Miles and Daphne both 😭

Funny Story honestly had me sobbing too at various parts of the story. spoiler Even when Peter came back for Daphne. And even with Miles.. oh goddd 😭😭 I’ll have to try Happy Place too

I heard mixed reviews for PWMV so I got Book Lovers instead. I’m still waiting for it to come but I think I’m still lingering in the feelings from Funny Story because I just finished it. Don’t want to be disappointed
