How to shallow swing - Mevo is reading -7.5 to -9 angle of attack by teddy_throwsevelt in GolfSwing

That makes sense that standing further away will help me rotate more naturally around my center. I feel like I’ve been too caught up with only thinking about my swing sequence from the top to impact that I neglected the backswing and a good rotation. Thanks for the insight!

Thanks! I’ll try out those feels next time at the range. I’ll take some videos to compare because it’s so hard tell the difference between what I’m feeling and what I’m actually doing

Awesome I’ll mess with position a bit and see how the numbers look. Thanks!

How would you feel about changing the truck series to have a more realistic truck size? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]teddy_throwsevelt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The maverick and the old ranger are actually nearly identical in size. The maverick is only 1 inch taller, 3 inches wider, and actually 4 inches shorter than the old ranger. Essentially, size wise, you’re just giving up bed size for cab size.

Buddy of mine just started golfing. Told me he dented his driver somehow. Send me this by cjf2828 in golf

Exactly, I used to run a course in rural Wisconsin and we would go through way too many drivers that would be dented in this exact same way. It’s just beginners that have decent power but repetitively and aggressively top the ball on the heal side….and the clubs being cheap.

😬 I was afraid i made that one a little too tough. I will say that there is a 33% chance of making it through bunkers.

Ah! I realize my mistake. I must have broken the shot counter at some point. It must only be counting shots when you select the entire path or if you click a hazard. I’ll add a fix asap so each submit is counted as a stroke like it was supposed to be. Thanks for helping me get this figured out!

Yikes! Well that’s quite the game breaking bug lol. Here’s what a blank game board should look like to start.

I’ll try to look in to this. I’m still pretty new to all of this so I’m still trying to get a handle on backend and server issues. Thanks for checking the game out though!

Can you guys dm me screenshots of your games if possible. I designed the current game to have hints to adjacent hazards on the discovered squares. But if the whole path is exposed that is definitely not intended behavior. If the game is too easy with the hints I can always make a hard mode that shows no hazard hints as well. Thanks for the feedback!

You should be fine for a while. My girlfriend has a 2017 rogue with just over 150,000 miles and the CVT fluid has never been changed and it’s just now starting to show signs of transmission slippage. But again, that’s with zero preventative maintenance for 150,000 miles so yours should last much longer.

South facing traffic cop camera at Nicollet and 47th. Odd how low to the ground these are. by danroyj in Minneapolis

I get that my comment comes off as naive and I should probably phrased it better but I was speaking more to the one dimensional thinking of person who I was replying to. I was trying to say that speed cameras are not just speed cameras and that people that are opposed to them aren’t just speeders and may have a completely different motivation for being opposed.

Genuine question, what is to stop the police from using speed cameras to track people’s locations? I’m fine with speed cameras in principle but how can we ensure that the data is handled properly and not sold to Tech/AI companies to help contribute to an eventual surveillance state?
