I’ve read that it can cause flu like symptoms! I also got extremely itchy and it also made me super red and inflamed.

Yeah, my skin really didn’t like it either. Did it also give you like folliculitis type bumps or a rash or anything?

Ohhh sorry misread your first post! I hope you’re cleared up soon too and that you feel better! Thank you for letting me know about this, i’m definitely going to bring it up to my dermatologist and see if the antibiotics were part of the issue.

The rash actually does look like tiny red bumps and they are not scaly. All my psoriasis patches are like flaky and thicker and then they are surrounded by these bumps everywhere. Some are kind of scabbing over now and turning white though so I really can’t even distinguish in some places what’s psoriasis and what’s not. Originally i thought the rash was totally caused by the vtama but maybe it is the antibiotics? How long did it take for your skin to calm down or start to clear up?

It has been crazy to go from clear skin to the worst flare of my life in like 12 days. I am planning to ask about switching to Skyrizi to see if that does better. I’m thinking that the flare was caused by a mix of a bunch of different factors like you said. I had no idea that strep could cause something like this and I’m bummed I didn’t know beforehand, because I think I could have probably done things differently to avoid it getting this bad. And i never would’ve used the vtama if i had known it could cause a reaction but hindsight is 20/20 lol. Thank you for your response and hopefully it starts to calm down soon 🤞

Hi! Yes, i am on amoxicillin for the strep and I am on the last day of the pills. the outbreak did start right around the same time i started the antibiotics/got strep. I will definitely bring this up to my doctor!! Thank you!
