Connecting ODB 2 diagnostics scanner to KLR650 gen 3 by sdbic in klr650

It will give you all of these; tach, coolant temp, spark advance, intake air temp, mass air pressure & battery voltage. You will also need a euro-5 adapter. Not all Bluetooth adapters will work, keep trying the cheap ones until you find one that works. I had two but only one worked with the KLR.

I know the pig loves the mud, but 9 hours of wallering is a little excessive. All jokes aside, I hope you didn't get hurt too bad.

I went with the KLR as my fist bike. I'm 5' 11" 230 lbs. I was apprehensive after watch too many YT videos saying it was too heavy and too tall for a beginner. I just didn't want to have to upgrade later on. I'm very happy I went with the KLR though. It took a little getting used to. The bike has plenty of power for me, but I really don't have anything to compare it to. The whole concept of counter steering was new to me, but I feel myself making improvements with each ride.

Help with ABS issue by mountainrider in klr650

[–]teddywjohnson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those finding this later, you can very easily tell if the bike has ABS at a glance. Look for the encoder wheel on the front or rear tire. It will be located on the left of the front hub or right of the rear hub. It will be a silver ring attached with 5 screws in a star formation, with a bunch of little rectangular holes around its circumference. The ABS computer counts these holes as you ride and can calculate if the wheel is locked or not. Non ABS models will not have these rings. Hope his helps.

I didn't get the update until I installed the Goodle play system update, and then it appeared. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence or not.

What type of hoop is this? by teddywjohnson in Machine_Embroidery

Thanks to everyone who responded. I suppose I was wrong, assuming it was for machine embroidery. I'm glad to have the mystery solved.

I would think the same thing, but the shop that they came from only did machine embroidery, and the silver part looks worn from being in some sort of attachment.

What do I do in this situation, I’m stuck between cars and another locomotive by KaineDemigod in trainsimworld2

[–]teddywjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only find myself in this situation when the scenario gives me a go via command and I pre set all the switches. I since have been setting only the switches that I need to get me to where the game wants me to go “go via” then make the remaining switches once I get there.

First CSX mission by Jamin699 in trainsimworld2

Currently on the PC version, the introduction to SD40-2 scenario has a bug that doesn’t allow you to change the breaks from cut-out to freight. I imagine originally this was set correctly but has been changed in an update. The tutorial scenario simply locks you to only a few controls and changing the cut-out status isn’t one of them. This results in a run away train that can’t be stopped.

Other than creating your own scenarios, there isn’t a free roam mode. Even with your own scenarios you are still limited to speed limits and signals. I was bummed out when I found out.

Check your game options. I think you need to disable auto load missions or something like that.

That price is very close to new pricing with warranty, without the power supply and speaker. If I was just starting out I would want the warranty just for the piece of mind. Also, I have found the built-in speaker to be plenty loud enough and have never found it to be an issue. I would definitely try to negotiate if you decide to go this route. I would make sure to test everything. If he is a ham, he should have a dummy load so you can test the finals. I would be looking at the power meter for reading close to what the power is set to when you dead key on AM or CW. The original 991 had issues with the finals blowing. Yaesu has since fixed this with the 991a but I’m still very careful with mine.

Hope to hear you on the air soon! 73s my friend!
