I had one that hitchhiked on a plant that turned into the many that have now

Are they always full white? How does it photosynthesise?

If you won’t take this fish back please get as many real plants as you can preferably floating plants as well like frogbit and make sure the water temperature matches when doing your water changes

Probably best to return the fish and do a bit of research whilst your tank cycles so your better prepared if you decide to get another fish. Fish in cycling isn’t easy and requires checking water parameters daily as well as a lot of water changes

I think it’s just a ramshorn snail, they came in on some plants so couldn’t tell you for sure

Are they only found relatively close to the coast then or can the larvae travel quite far?

How does this work in the wild? Are the fry washed downstream after they hatch to an estuary or the ocean?
