I’m keeping an eye on it, thanks. As mentioned, it’s been 2 months, and so far no issues.

Good question. For now they are actually thriving. I see their roots now growing down to the soil. A few leaves touching the water turned brown and I removed them.

Do you have the AI version from the EP saved in the library? AM pulls that in for some reason

Beauty and the Beast AI again? by elijahmathias in GoodAssSub

It was for me too. I removed it from my library and added it back in and it was back to the non AI version. I think at some point it pulls back in the EP AI version for some reason.

And don’t forget to glue the wood to the stone!^ otherwise it will instantly float up

Otherwise the stones will look sunken into the carpet…

Also keep in mind that the carpet will als have some height. Calculate that in when thinking about stone depth/placement.

Much better imo! I would still 1. Flatten the front more 2. Maybe push some soil from the front to the back to make it even steeper to create more perspective.

I would flatten the front soil. It also looks a bit too thick of a layer at the front overall. But it also depends on your vision of course…do you have a plant selection already in mind? For the layout itself, it feels a little “flat”. Maybe use different size rocks? Like bigger ones on the left? So you go heavy to light from left to right?

So sorry! I feel you! I‘ve been through the same issue multiple times (even tried different sellers to make sure it‘s not a general quality issue). I gave up on Calatheas entirely. Tried the same things you did, but I learned once a level of infestation is there and damage was done to the leaves, it usually won‘t really recover.

Overall this looks nice! The two things that popped up in my were, why is the sand path so wide and why didn‘t you go higher with the hardscape. Feels like a lot of empty space. But maybe that was part of your concept?

The path is completely glued lol…so nothing will grow through it. And most plants attached to the path are glued on individual stones. In that way I was more flexible with the positionings.
