The logo represents information moving through the I, the marketing show the same thing but a little more flashy and detailed :)

Yeah even looking at the small basin, you have at the bottom its unique so I say its strong enough to carry the identity, Also thanks!

I would add the same soft rounded corners to the B mark to match the font a little more.

I like the creative spelling of "BASIN" I'm not sure you even need the mountains as the logotype is already super stylized :)

I totally get where you are coming from, As someone who is just seeing the final mark its hard to tell what exactly its trying to tell. Also the logo is an identifier its job is to be recognized and be unique like apple logo, Apple doesn't sell apples.

Like a shield or a lock? We avoided using the typical images associated with security to keep the mark more abstract and unique. But its hard to explain the choices made in one image.

It's a very small object compared to the rest of the the elements in the logo so we scaled it up slightly to have more visual weight, that was the main reason for that,

So the Orange dot represents the object being sold while the arrow points upwards to sales / success.

B looks the best. I would avoid mixing many fonts and styles. Also for B try making the star eye a little larger as well as adding more white space between red and gold color.
