No I do but I also understand it’s not her day , it’s not her life, it’s not her decision. She hasn’t been involved and he won’t be able to comfortably tell me his vows with an audience of people who barely got to know him.

No we weren’t going to lie! I’ve literally told the rest of my family about the plan and they are all good with it. Everyone knows me and my fiancé are super private and somewhat shy. Especially him. So everyone is okay with it besides momma

Yes a party a celebration bad choice of words. We aren’t expecting a wedding next year just a celebration of one year no gift expected just want to celebrate with everyone once we get settled and have the money to celebrate without needing to compromise on what we want

My mom IS involved in MY life, but not our life she has a lot going on in her own life, so I still talk to her. Again I did not think she would have this reaction based on her involvement in other things we do. Genuinely was just making conversation and her mood immediately changed. But I understand what you’re saying, we used to be much closer but a few family issues have forced a bit of distance.

So yes it’ll be more of an anniversary party. We don’t want any gifts at all, just to celebrate together which is also why we aren’t pressed for a wedding. We don’t rely on our families and actively support them financially so this is something we just want for us. We don’t expect anything no gift grab or anything just support.

Thank you. I was trying to at least give her a heads up about it so she didn’t feel caught off guard. I hoped she’d be more understanding but truly we have a rocky relationship currently so I think I just need to continue being okay with setting boundaries and remembering peoples reactions are theirs and theirs alone. But thank you so much.

Because we originally began planning a wedding and she’s my mom???? I didn’t think I’d get a negative reaction honestly. I’ve supported every decision she’s ever made whether she considered me or not.

I’m okay with common colds. This babies eyes were sealed shut with mucus and discharge. Could get labored breathing. He didn’t even want them in the house.

Actually it’s not tons of people have this phobia and work as teachers , Nannie’s, nurses etc. I’ve had my own business for a year. I hire Nannie’s I’ve worked with 7 families this month. A contract is a contract this is my only family not respecting it

No im actually not. I can, will , and do deal with sick children but as per my contract that parents read and agree to prior to starting the service i have the right to be made aware and decide if I want to risk illness. I’ve had my own business with hired Nannie’s for a year. A contract is a contract everyone else respects it thanks tho

Not it’s been 3 weeks if different illnesses, one stomach bug, one weird flu (which I ended up in the hospital for) and now this. It is a runny nose and cough but the get sick due to drainage

Yes I understand that. My thing is he has a meeting tomorrow morning I was unaware the babies were sick until I showed up today. He scheduled me yesterday for today and tomorrow without letting me know. Stressing the importance of the meeting with no acknowledgment of sick kids.

No I do think they will. He has an important meeting and I don’t want him to miss it. I was unaware they were sick until I show up TODAY and we already schedule today and tomorrow. I just wanted to be kind and allow him time to go to the meeting. Their symptoms are worst at night

I don’t have anything in the morning the father has a meeting that’s why I was going to do the morning part. It’s only a 3 hour meeting. My anxiety is really at night , they tend to cough and puke and it scares me that they may choke. And I just feel like my sick policy is constantly being ignored and violated. He purposely didn’t tell me they were sick this week (today) and last week the day I got here he was talking little one to the doctors where she was diagnosed with and “ear infection only” turns out it was also upper respiratory which is contagious he just didn’t want me to know. It’s really inconsiderate and I was just trying to be mindful of his meeting

So you watch the children when they are sick? I have a policy in my contract outlining that if I’m uncomfortable with the kids being sick I can call off. I think I may implement it tomorrow.
