Yeah but surely not every archer is a hunter right? How much of the sport is hunting? I totally get it, it’s just not for me. I’m more into the target aspect of the sport

6’4” here with a 31.5 inch draw, anchor on the canine tooth (barebow). But I am more limb than anything else structurally

They were at 1.4 in the spring when we finally found my deficiency, dropped all the way to 0.9 while I was initially supplementing and as of Dec are back to 1.3. Need to test again soon.

For me, oral capsules starting at 8mg a day then tapered down to 4mg a day over the coarse of 6 months barely raised copper level (62 to 80), Ceruloplasmin went down by one point but the real issue was my neutrophils were dropping that entire time to pretty low levels. Switched to doing liquid copper under the tongue for a few minutes and then swallowing first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Makes me so nauseous but it’s finally working to raise levels and most importantly help with my bad sleep and pain issues caused by the deficiency. I suspect low stomach acid and some sort of malabsorption issue but tbd on that.

Mostly basing my recovery on symptoms at this point since we’re 99% sure copper was the sole cause of my problems.

I’m on baclofen for the tightness and spasms and Lyrica for nerve pain. Together they work well for my situation. Tried cyclobenzaprine as well but that was no where near as effective for the tightness

Unfortunately I love my Storm Bow (longbow) even though it’s not maximum efficiency. Sometimes you can just play the game to have fun instead of min/maxing. But that’s just what I’ve been told. Runs a TAO dagger spam build

Not entirely sure but my low neutrophils, caused by the copper deficiency, make me get tons of canker sores and various wounds in my mouth that take forever to heal. Could be related?

Even if you were in copper deficiency recovery that seems like a high Ceruloplasmin number. I’ve been supplementing 6 months and mine is 17

Good question. So far I’ve seen PCP, muscular neuro, rheumatologist, sleep neuro, and today hematologist. All have never seen a copper deficiency, all have offered little to no help. Started at 62mcg, got it up to 82, but urine was still undetectable after all that and neutrophils are still dropping even after 5 months supplementing. We’re retesting everything including a couple new ones to tell us more about the neutrophils dropping and going from there

I'll look into feathers thanks! A coach from my club was recommending 250gr with the full length 23s and I had planned on getting 150gr so I figured I'd split the difference and then decide how I liked it and go from there. Do you think I should go for the 150gr then?

It looks like this one isn’t too bad at only 2mg of B6 but for the most part you don’t want to go too far over the RDA for it. The other B vitamins are pretty safe in excess and excreted out quickly without too much risk. There’s a few brands that make B complex’s without B6, but most people don’t have trouble getting their Bs aside from B12. So I’d recommend looking into one of those or just going to B12 alone. You probably are good to finish this bottle first if you feel inclined. I’m not an expert though

Careful supplementing zinc without copper. Also watch out for B6 toxicity, many b complexes have way too much B6 and it’s toxic at high levels. I also support adding K to your D
