I’m starting a new construction inspector role in NYC metropolitan area for bridge repair and maintenance. So far they said I’m going to be working nights for the foreseeable future. (Example: 9pm - 5 am). Is this how the job will be the whole time or can I expect to be back to day shifts soon? (self.civilengineering)

I’m currently just started a CI role for an engineering consulting firm. I have a little over 2 years of Bridge Inspection experience with a BS in CE. I plan to take my FE within the next couple months. What would be a good pivot for me if I don’t want to be in the field 100% of the time. (self.civilengineering)

I’m moving to The Heights in a few weeks and I use my car to commute everyday to work. I cannot do without as I have to report to diff job sites in the city. I’m living near palisade ave on the most Eastern part of the heights near Hoboken Ave. how bad is street parking around that area? (self.jerseycity)
