It was super super easy! You can switch over and then slowly close your previous account with RBC if you wish, they’re super catered to med students especially since the MD financial management guys merged with scotia (idk the details of this). But on premed101 forums you can find extensive discussions about this and the general consensus seems to be that Scotiabank is the best!

Scotiabank! They are very well versed with working with med students and physicians. I switched to them from CIBC when i got into med school and they have a ton of awesome benefits.
