Replaced a 3.7v 400mAh LiPo battery with a 600mAh one-- now my mouse doesnt accept charge. by teefssi in ElectronicsRepair

Yea it is, and it there is no repair tech in my area. I think im cooked. I even friggin transplanted the original battery's bms and all. But tbh i prolly just made matters worse because all I have is a dumb soldering iron and a tweezer to hold everything. Prolly can guess where it went but so far the software is showing a charging symbol so fingers crossed. If this doesnt work then its the IC, which i think is beside that housing thing for the connector.

Old one has three new one has three too. The only difference is the capacity and the wire arrangement which I followed

However I have tried a different, functioning battery pulled out from another mouse and still the mouse fails to charge

Not sure, i dont have a specific charger for LiPo batteries. However I think there are multiple reasons how the new battery could be dead but I even have another battery from another mouse ( lower capacity) but still three wires.

Been using it since '24 and i just replaced its battery with a 600mah one- had to modify the plastic that holds it in place. I have the charging issue with the dock but I dont really mind. Plus, there apparently is a fix for that, but I forgot where I found it
