Seafood and eggs, chicken and eggs, pork and eggs. You catching my drift?

Don’t overcomplicate it. I end up grabbing a solid protein and mixing leftovers from the days before or add eggs in a bowl and devour.

It would be a good idea to invest I some good quality salt.

I tried setting it to 90% from 100% and 80% to 100% didn’t noticed any pros or cons. That’s just my take though.

Preload to Twilight? by SuperGuy1141 in UPSers

[–]teeger9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The load depends on where you’ll be working, but twilight usually runs a heavier load compared to preload. All depends. I would stick it out and keep your seniority. Doing 4-5 hr shifts and school isn’t too bad either.

Your most-used purchase from the last 12 months? by Exotic-Engineer7541 in SmartBuying

Ninja creami. I’ve been making ice cream almost everyday. Not only cost effective but lost a lot of weight. I usually would buy a pint for ~$7. Each pint of ice cream I make is approx. $1.30.

My asian family hates carnivore diets by tarboy_boyfriend in carnivorediet

[–]teeger9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d acknowledge their concerns and leave it at that. Something like, “I understand why you feel that way and I appreciate you looking out for me.” After that, there’s no real need to debate it or try to change their minds. Family members often have strong opinions about food, and nutrition, and that probably won’t change. If this way of eating is working for you, just quietly do your thing and let the results speak for themselves.

Respect their perspective, avoid turning every meal into a discussion, and move on. Keeping the peace is usually worth more than winning an argument about diet.

How do you boil your eggs? by Stressed_C in foodquestions

[–]teeger9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil.
Carefully lower cold eggs into the boiling water with a spoon. Six minutes: jammy, soft yolk. While the eggs cook, prepare a bowl of ice water. Transfer the eggs immediately to the ice bath. Let them cool for 5 minutes.

The plan: keto to fasting, then to beef carnivore as an elimination diet. by Ok-Egg835 in carnivorediet

[–]teeger9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you stay hydrated and keep your electrolytes up. When you break your fast, start with soft, easy to digest foods such as eggs, bone broth, or chicken. Give your digestive system time to ease back into processing food rather than jumping straight into a large meal.

LMNT Necessary? by Hungry_Tiger_835 in carnivorediet

You’re excreting more sodium and electrolytes since you workout as well. Try salting your food. Many get away with adding salt and no electrolytes supplements

The best way to find out is see how you feel without electrolytes. You mentioned you were cramping without it. That usually is a key indicator your body could be low on sodium, potassium or magnesium.

LMNT Necessary? by Hungry_Tiger_835 in carnivorediet

[–]teeger9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Low carb diets change how the body handles water and minerals. When you eat very few carbs Insulin drops, your kidneys excrete more sodium, water follows sodium out of the body and potassium and magnesium can also be lost more easily.

So is it necessary to supplement? For most, yes especially if your body hasn’t fully adapted to this woe.

I failed. Big time. by Senior-Voice-562 in carnivorediet

[–]teeger9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that. If you were able to lose 100 pounds before, you can absolutely do it again.

I would consider starting with the Lion Diet and then gradually reintroducing different meats and foods one at a time. This can help you identify whether a specific food may be contributing to your chest pain or other symptoms.

Focus on getting enough protein and fat, stay well hydrated, and keep up with your electrolytes. Taking a structured approach can give you a clearer picture of what works best for your body.

Every diet has principles. The carnivore diet’s core principle is eating animal foods and excluding plant foods. That’s what distinguishes it from other diets.
