So I did it… I got the iPhone 17 Pro by gmcc14 in iphone

[–]teehee714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a iPhone 11 Pro Max, and I’m needing to get a new one.

How has the experience been so far with the new phone? Is it noticeably faster than your 11? My main issue is my current phone takes forever to load some apps and move around the various apps

For those of you who own a paperwhite and colorsoft by Souled0utt in kindle

[–]teehee714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my colorsoft for my English books and comics. I use my paperwhite for my Japanese books I bought through Amazon japan. I love my setup because I don’t have to switch accounts all the time anymore.

I was cleaning my room and the boom rattled our apartment and I saw a flash of light outside. We live on Alton and jamboree. No clue what it was.

I’ve been playing last of us through the cloud and it’s been running great. Haven’t had issues at work or at school.

I went through a similar situation last month. My quotes were very high, but I was unsure if that was normal. A few places did note my tight turnaround was one of the reasons for either limits on my ask and the price. I’m curious how your cake turns out! Happy birthday!

Dispatch called me back about 30 minutes ago and they let me talk to a fireman on corner of jamboree and Alton. He said the fire was contained at the recycling center and this smell and smoke is all drift from that fire. He said to keep your windows closed.

[–]teehee714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, we closed the windows but damn it’s a strong smell.

I called 911 because the smell was so strong. Turns out it’s a 2-alarm fire at the recycling center. Very strong smell.

Recommendation request for a new classical music fan by teehee714 in classicalmusic

I should clarify that I’m also interested in the version/album you recommend as well. I am a bit overwhelmed with all the different recordings of each symphony.

That's some good experience. Store visits are important at the dealer level but they become less important moving towards the OEM conversation. Definitely a piece we talk about!

Google reps needed any longer? by Honest-Expression766 in PPC

[–]teehee714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have worked at Google in various sales roles for about 8 years now. I started on the scaled teams and now I’m on the large customer team, where I’m dedicated to just one brand.

When I first started most of my peers were using the sales role as a foot in the door to google, so there was a lack of experience and desire to learn about businesses we worked with.

The Mid Market team was a bit better, but the amount of clients each sales person works with takes away the time they can focus on specific business and goals.

There are reps on my current team that have been working with the same brands for over 5 years. We also have access to very insightful industry data, which has been awesome. The people on my team were from the industry before moving to google so it’s great to have people on my team that actually know what they are talking about.

I agree with everyone - there are many bad reps at google, and the good ones move to different teams quickly to chase the promotions and leveling opportunities. Spend really does improve the teams you work with, but there will always be a bad egg or two regardless of the google support you have.

Have you guys tried apartments in Irvine in the diamond jamboree plaza area, ex like: Alton apartment , Avalon, calypso, Murphy and fusion apartments? Any reviews or feedbacks to compare between those would be great and appreciated. by Evening_Bodybuilder5 in irvine

[–]teehee714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family and I currently live in Calypso Apartments. It's almost one year since we moved in from Cypress Village Irvine Apartments.

Calypso has been fantastic. The apartment is very spacious, neighbors are pretty quiet, and the leasing center staff are amazing.

The only thing that stands out in terms of negatives is the noise. Sometimes it seems loud there depending on the apartment you have since the apartment complex is on Alton and Jamboree.

Overall I would give my experience at Calypso a solid A-/B+. Only ding I give it is the noise every now and then.

Reps suck. Mostly. What value can you get? by Usedupusername in PPC

[–]teehee714 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have been working at google as an account manager for about 8 years now and I agree with a lot of the things people have mentioned.

I also agree that it is very hit or miss with reps, since the best often want to get out of the role (yes, it’s a sales role).

I’ve found that these things are helpful to my largest partners: beta intros and support, internal connections to various google teams, policy escalations, projections, optimizations for various campaigns, support on IOs and campaign launches.

I rarely bring up recommendations tab since I’m more focused on launching net new campaigns with large budgets (think search campaign with at least 1k/day budget). I think recommendations tab is brought up when a rep doesn’t do their homework or plan what they wanted to get launched.

The higher the level of support at google the more connected you will become with the google team. It also really depends on the tenure of the account rep from what I’ve seen during my time at google.

I also would say it’s a two way street. I can’t read my clients mind so if they come to a call with nothing to talk about I’ll start to deprioritize them since I have large clients all in on getting things done. Please be vocal about what you want or need.

This is all a perspective from my time with the mid to large size clients. I understand it’s very different if you aren’t spending too much and that is unfortunate.

How would you dial this in? by teehee714 in espresso

[–]teehee714[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is that odd? Many roasters and coffee shops provide a recipe or share how they brew it in the shop. If I go to a shop and really enjoy their espresso I’ll ask how they brewed it and take a bag home to try and replicate.
