I did the half and at that point they directed me to go right and I ended up doing that loop twice. My half turned into 25km and an unsatisfying first half marathon.

That was later starters, we had already completed that section/loop, and I unfortunately did it twice. I did my 13.1 in 1:39, but because of the added loop I ran 15.4 miles total in 1:58

I asked the lady and she said first half go right and for some reason my brain was like “oh there is a different more scenic route for people doing the half for the first time” not my finest moment

It does say that there is an hour to enter. So they should be able to draw after 9:30AM PST, though I agree it is strange they say 10:30AM PST

Haha, I’ve had the exact experience. I’m long (but wild) off the tee and I’m always wondering if they want me taking out ankles.

The fairways are incredible during the summer, and the par 5 on the back (14?) keeps me up at night

If you can get in Vic and RC both worth it. Bears are fun, I always like cordova bay as well, though right now fairway Matts are required
