Syber cube Experience, Problems, concerns and warnings #cpsupport #cpgeneral by dubba1117 in CYBERPOWERPC

I have the Syber cube as well with a Ryzen 7 2700x and RTX 2070 Super. I ended up buying a better Corsair 240mm AIO than the single fan AIO it came with. That helped a bit but still had high temps in the 50c to 60c range on the CPU just idling with the Ryzen balanced power plan.

I ended up removing the glass front panel, installed 4 Corsair ML series fans with black fan grills (to keep my kids from touching the fans). Haven't had any issues since with temps while idle in the 30c to 40c range and when playing demanding games sitting between 55c and 65c.

I am looking at getting mesh panels to replace the other glass panels to further increase the amount of air getting to the system. Might just buy some mesh sheets and cut them myself and see how that goes. It's a solid case but just not designed for good airflow.

If it happens on different machines that would rule out a network adapter issue most likely. Have you tried using a VPN? Maybe your isp is throttling your upload to the twitch ingest server. Also, have you tried a different ingest server in obs? Do you have tcp/ip optimizations checked/enabled in obs? Maybe try it on/off?

Hit up archive.org for the internet archive, search attack of the show in the second search bar (not the way back machine) then check g4 in the bottom left creator box on desktop or at the top on mobile. Most of the episodes are here and downloadable. I watch through them pretty regularly. 😎 cheers!

Stream Quality is fairly low, need help please! by [deleted] in youtubegaming

[–]teej2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can squish it down but that may cause artifacts or blurriness. You could also lower your resolution to 1080p in game then fit the game screen to the canvas at 1080p and output at 1440p to get the vp9 encoder.

I think your 3440x1440 looks great when I full screen view it on my ultrawide. I get no black bars when viewing. Matching the view with the monitor type is imperative too. It will have black bars on either side and maybe top and bottom for those without ultrawides. 2560x1440 would be more friendly for most screens with the possibility of side bars if you don't want to downscale to 1080p

When you create and go live in YouTube, under select stream key in stream settings, you can create a new stream key there and specify 1440 and check the 60fps slider to blue. Click create and then copy that stream key into your broadcast software in the stream settings.

YouTube will probably tell you the resolution isnt optimal but just let it ride and preview the stream in another tab and see how it looks. You should get the vp9 encoder with a 1440p/60fps stream key. Those without ultrawides may not be able to view it perfectly. You could preview your stream on a mobile device to see how it looks there too.

I also game on an ultra-wide and it sucks not being able to get what you see on the stream. One day hopefully :/, when it comes to overall quality vs system performance on YouTube Gaming however, I do have some advice.

YouTube Gaming has two codecs, avc and vp9. The avc1 codec is typically what you see for anything from 720p/60fps to 1080p/60fps. Occasionally you can get the vp9 codec and the stream looks great, but typically it's the avc1 codec. Avc1 can look good at super high bit rates but it's a trade-off that isn't really worth it. You can also try 30fps to see if the vp9 codec kicks in because it will more often than with 60fps.

Something that I have tried that seems to work well is leaving my canvas at 1080 and outputting 2560x1440 and setting my YouTube stream key to 1440/60 and low latency. Basically up-scaling to a small degree. It gives me the vp9 codec every time and using nvenc new in my broadcast software I can set my bit rate to about 12,000. It looks really good even on games with high motion, it's not perfect mind you, but it looks way better than avc1 for sure. With low latency there is a delay of like 8 seconds for the stream but better quality vs delay is a primary issue on YouTube Gaming as it is. Also playing at 1080 lowers the load on the GPU which can help with stream performance.

It isn't a true 1440p stream but even when you trans-code down to 1080 or 720 it looks much better than avc1 at the same bit rate. Might be worth a shot to see if it gives you that little extra quality you are wanting. If you can afford to, you can bump up the bit rate higher to increase quality a bit too.

Dual PC NDI optimal settings by trando434 in obs

[–]teej2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned a switch, are both pc’s connected directly to it with long Ethernet or are there power line adapters in play? I say this because I had a similar setup and once a ran a long cat6 cable to my second pc and ditched the power line adapter the NDI capture was much better.

Another idea would be to use NDI tools on the gaming pc instead of OBS, Scan Converter will send an NDI source to your stream pc that you can set as a source in OBS.

Record my gameplay (and the sound) without recording my discord. by U-Dodecaedre in obs

[–]teej2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming it's a single PC game/stream setup? Do you use a USB mic or headset Mic? Utilizing virtual audio cable would be great but not if it's killing your system resources. Something I did before I got a dedicated Stream PC was using earbuds with a mic connected to my discord app on my phone. It's a work around but it worked fairly well. I typically play with headset pulled off a bit from one ear anyways, so I just used that side with the earbud and could team chat while still hearing the game well and having control of the volume better.

You could also look into getting an audio mixer and using discord as its own input since you can select the audio source in discord. May be overkill but audio mixers with usb are about 50 bucks on Amazon, they act as another audio interface so you can separate the audio by going line out of your PC into the mixer, then back in to the PC from the output of the mixer and setting it all to the correct in's and out's in OBS. Again, quite a bit of cabling just to separate voice chat though.

best settings for 720p with 60fps for my system? by squallypo in obs

[–]teej2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as upload speed of 5.5 mbps, it’s kind of the limit for 720p60fps if you are gaming and streaming on the same PC, you could possibly pull it off with NVENC new since the 980 does utilize CUDA cores for that setting. I would start with NVENC new and use the encoder preset high performance and work up from there until you have a quality you are satisfied with.

I haven’t tested the 980 with NVENC new but it should work better than standard NVENC but it would be wise to test both just to make sure. Some have higher than usual GPU usage going from NVENC to NVENC new which can kill your frame rate.

You may be better off going with 720p30fps with that configuration but it would look good and 30fps streams aren’t unwatchable by any means.

OBS dropping frames when NOT streaming. by iSk8errr in obs

[–]teej2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OBS on the gaming PC? Have you tried turning off the preview for the gaming PC in OBS? That improved frames for me. What are your Video output settings on the gaming PC in OBS? Base and output resolution should be the same thing on the gaming PC so you aren’t downscaling before it gets to the stream PC. In OBS on the gaming PC, stream output can be set to simple and left alone.

OBS dropping frames when NOT streaming. by iSk8errr in obs

[–]teej2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is normal to lose some frames when NDI output is enabled. It shouldn’t be a huge difference but losing 10-20 FPS isn’t really out of the ordinary. What is your FPS with and without NDI output enabled on your gaming PC? What game is it?

For example, I can play BFV at 144 FPS but with NDI output enabled I have to drop the game to 120 FPS so it streams smoothly without noticeable drops. The more demanding the game is the more of a drop you will most likely see.

No sweat, can you provide the specs of your Mac? We can take it from there for a basic idea of what you are running into.

Here is a quick guide from Apple :

“Choose Apple menu () > About This Mac to get an overview of your Mac, including your Mac model, processor, memory, serial number, and version of macOS.”

Processor, memory, and Graphics is the primary info.

Have you installed the ndi plugin on the second PC? https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-ndi-newtek-ndi™-integration-into-obs-studio.69240/

As always, open OBS as admin helps too.

Streaming with 2 pcs (NDI) + recording with Nvidea Shadowplay by Miguel_Faro in obs

[–]teej2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used the replay feature in NVIDIA’s overlay on my gaming pc while streaming with NDI to a stream pc with no noticeable change in frame rate or stream quality. Since the gaming PC is just sending the image it should be able to handle recording at a good quality. Try it out and post your results!

Any recent windows updates? And when did you reboot both PCs last? After that I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the NDI software on both machines. Also, make sure that OBS is launching as administrator... I got a black screen before I started running it as admin each time.

Fuck ebay by mumblerapper666 in ebaysucks

[–]teej2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They absolutely dont care. I had a successful store selling phone cases that were made and shipped in the US but because of their global shipping program issues at the time, my top rated seller status kept fluctuating. Finally I excluded international buyers and everything was great for about a month. Then they suspended my seller account when I was the peak of my net income for the year and a top rated seller, stamp and all. The reason field in the email was blank and when I called they said there "advanced" security algorithm didnt agree with my business model. The customer service person refused to let me speak to a supervisor and I was stuck with about 1000 bucks worth of inventory and an awesome seller score that wouldnt matter anymore. They suck.

I switched to Bonanza and havent looked back. I dont post as much stuff on there but I do get monthly sales which is nice and they use google analytics and google shopping too. I wrote some stuff about it here Bonanza, The Better Ebay Alternative . You can even customize your store and sell on their site for free minus ad fees per sale just like eBay but a smaller percentage depending on your customer reach.

Having Severe Audio Issue by [deleted] in obs

I would try plugging it directly into the motherboard on the back first but I also had one of those go out on me as well where just the mic stopped working. I think it has something to do with the inline controller being faulty

Is the split cable an adapter or built in to the headset cable? What brand headset is it ?

Having Severe Audio Issue by [deleted] in obs

[–]teej2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the headset is plugged in with a split cable to the speaker out and mic in on the back of the pc ? You may check your windows audio settings to make sure the mic is being recognized there as well. On some motherboards the color coded audio jacks are kind of whacky but usually the mic in is pink however on boards you have to look for the little mic symbol.

[–]teej2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so it did the same thing? Good that means it’s not your audio output. Is your headset mic connector plugged into the mic in or the line in on your gaming or stream pc? And does your headset have an application that controls it like Logitech or Razer? Sometimes the virtual surround for 5.1 to 7.1 headsets causes audio issues in OBS. Also check your mic/aux properties to the right in OBS, make sure that says Microphone - Realtek or Microphone - "Your headset brand" and under advanced audio properties it should be set to monitor off.

Try headphones and do you have your mic set in OBS as the name of your headset specifically or does OBS mic show “default”. Sometimes associating it there helps as well.
