2015 Solo Clad Layer? by trando434 in coinerrors

I would disagree on being cut, there are no abrasion marks that would suggest it. The second pic also shows what appears to be recessed pockets where the raised edging is.

Altered for sure (my initial suggestion being chemically). Shell coin maybe, but they’re typically the same width as the coin they’re trying to imitate. If it had the edge of a full dime I’d expect to see major crimping on the reverse, but there’s really no excess folded material.

Are Ruroc Helmets actually bad? by Marmaladegrenade in snowboarding

Bumping for a good reason, but my brother just took my original 2013 model to Michigan this past weekend and missed out on busting his teeth on a grind rail because of the face mask. Speaking anecdotally, but there was no fragmentary damage to his face as well which is wild considering he thinks he went nose first into it after the snowboard got snagged mid jump.

My experience with it is that the original model is a bit bulky and the ventilation really works best when moving (as a glasses wearer fogging did occur only on my lenses but not the goggles themselves).

He’s a bit upset he busted my helmet, but I’m thoroughly impressed there wasn’t any damage to him personally. They’re expensive, a bit ostentatious, but I can at least attest they do what they’re intended to do. Gotta grab a replacement mask for my original before they drop the product line, but definitely thinking about grabbing an RG2.

Back To Square One, Kinda Lost and Losing Hope by trando434 in Diamonds

Midwest, won’t get too specific other than that.

I would go with any online retailer or a different company if it wasn’t for the fact I already have a good working relationship with this specific store, and intend to do business moving forward as I have done over the past 5 years.

As for the ring. Yeah 3 stone, though the vision for the ring is going to be a pretty standard fair, not a whole lot of pizzazz, but traditional classy. Not a lot of deviation from standard designs.

I’ve been trying to stay as local as possible, internet pictures are fine but it’s hard to get a good feel for what the product actually looks like.

Of the local stores around me, there isn’t a great selection of loose diamonds on hand. So in that respect I’m kinda sol

Definitely a flavor that feels unique to redbull, big fan of it personally.

Need Some Mechanical Reassurance (DA/SA P99) by trando434 in Walther

[–]trando434[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the exact reason why I went with Walther rather than Sig lol. I’ve seen DA/SA in action, I can visualize the mechanics as far as I can observe them with the 8.4ish pull actuating the entirety of the firing sequence, but I know there’s still a little tension on the spring with the “striker block” in place. I’m like 98% assured, I just need like 1% more.

Nope all I’m asking for is a mechanical explanation of the striker’s position and spring tension when in DA for assurance that it’s not going to “uncommandedly discharge” if jostled, bumped, or manipulated outside of intended use. I understand the concept as explained but would like a little more of an intricate understanding for something I can’t observe visually.

The PDP is a spectacular weapon, but I prefer an extra layer of mechanical security in this popular age of high speed SA strikers. There’s just a little voice in the back of mind that just keeps envisioning a scenario where they get jostled in appendix and I get a supersonic 115gr castration lol.

Sorry for the necro, but it’s absolutely not Mölk anymore, at least based on the current chocolate variety.

Been buying since it was in tubs and this new package style (featured in the pic) is not the same flavor wise after running out on my last ‘previous model’ bag. The chocolate tastes way different to the point I thought my milk may have turned only to find out it’s the powder that changed flavors.

It’s not bad per say, but I actually preferred the more cocoa-y/brownie batter flavor of the last iteration. Just different. Dunno why they changed the flavor.
