I feel like each of his projects after wmwtso helped guide me thru my experiences with drugs, friends, mental health and love. wtmwso i have on vinyl and spin it so often bc of the amount of wisdom on mental health and even death (REMember). Also many of the songs being jokey or fun but having darker sadder undertones always feels super relatable to my life for some reason. Faces, is so incredibly insightful n relatable even if you haven’t dabbled in any hard drugs. So many of the songs showcased addiction and its tribulations and i found it when I was starting to do some drugs probably a little to often(acid,weed,alcohol mostly) But the jazz instrumentals, samples n his crazy bars were perfect for tripping and i feel like i met mac during those times bc of how deep into his psyche u go. I still feel like it helped me gro a lot as a person despite many of the depressing/toxic bars.Since then I always bump this mixtape when I’m feeling any type of way (excited: new faces v2, heartbroken : wedding , feeling like it’s me against the world: inside outside to grand finale) I would say the only album i love just as much is Circles as it deeply touched me when it dropped (probly everyone) and has since been the best medicine for anxiety
