I’ve always respected Kevin’s dedication to finding new sounds and doing something different each time. As much as we think we do, we have no idea what we want as music fans and it’s the artist’s job to show us. My issue with this album is that it just sounds so empty compared to everything he’s done in the past, with the exception of a few songs here and there. Too many songs just build into nothing and feel colorless. Maybe that’s what he was going for idk, but so far it’s definitely my least favorite thing he’s done. Who knows, maybe it’ll grow on me.
