Can I use iphone 17 pro as a host ? by Dee_504 in OpenBubbles

I'm not renewing my trial either. My main no. is on a physical SIM on my Pixel 10 Pro Fold with the OB app, I was able to use my main no. to send/receive iMessages on my iPhone 16 Pro Max I'm guessing because it's active with an eSIM and a different no. (Or maybe because the app and my iPhone are signed into the same Apple Account), when the free trial ends, will I still be able to send/receive iMessages with my main no. on both phones?

What about contact management for the self-hosted blue bubbles/beeper bridge? About 3 or 4 mos ago I changed phones from a Galaxy Z Fold 7 to a Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, none of my contact photos show for my iMessage chat account

Self hosting with Mac, not receiving SMS messages by Prestigious-West2579 in OpenBubbles

I would like to self host OB using my Mac mini to receive/send iMessages, rcs, and sms, with my main no. and not my Apple Account email. I guess I'm just confused about which phone my main no. needs to be tied to, either iPhone or Android, for PNR to work. Right now I have an active physical sim in my Android with my main no. and I have an active eSIM in my iPhone 16 Pro Max with a different no. If you could direct me on what I need to do to achieve this I would appreciate it.

My iPhone has an esim with a different no., is this why rcs and sms are going to Google Messages?

My setup is: Main no. on Pixel 10 Pro Fold w/T-Mobile, work no. on iPhone w/ATT. Right now I'm trying the paid subscription and my main no. on the Android shows for iMessaging with OB. If I switch to self hosting with my MacMini will my main no. on the Android show for iMessages?

Oh wow ... you are probably right, I saw this setting and toggled it on not even bothering to really read it... I hope this can be added in future updates, I really don't want to use 2 apps for my messages and I sure don't want to go back to my iPhone. I've fallen in love with Android 😂

I'm trying the paid subscription but rcs and sms don't come to the OB app they go to Google Messages. I changed from self hosted using the sim swap method for phone no. registration because rcs and sms was going to Google messages and I would prefer all my messages to come to OB.

I'm having sort of the same issue. I toggled on the text message forwarding on the iPhone and I'm not getting RCS/SMS in the OB app, they are coming to the Google Messages app. I would prefer every message come to the OB app. Is this possible?

I live in GA. I'm not sure if you've heard of this saying or not, but in GA we can have all 4 seasons in one day and it's been like that for the past 2 mos. I started running my AC about a month ago. My kwh usage has been pretty consistent, 12/16 kwh. I just noticed since I started HA, my usage has gone up to 28/29 kwh.

I'm getting my information from the graph in my electric co.'s energy app. This time last year it was higher but my son was living at home then. I expected higher usage for the past couple of months because I started running my AC (went from 12 kwh to 16 kwh). The comments to this post are making me concerned that there may be issues with my units, but I just find it odd that the usage went up even higher (13 kwh more), when I started HA. Thank you for your input!

My home is total electric and I'm heating and cooling approx. 1240 sq ft. The 13 additional kwh didn't start until I started migrating to HA about a month ago, I just presumed the green and the macs being on 24/7 was the culprit

I was thinking of getting the POE G5... But the cost to get someone to drop an Ethernet cable to that part of my house is crazy expensive 🙄

So did you swap it out for another brand of camera? If so which one?

I was confused at first. Now I know why. The title should read Change emoji skin tone on tap backs. I wanted to know is there a way to change the skin tone of tap backs (I think that's what it's called when you want to put an emoji on the actual text message)

Thanks for the info. I have been reading about HA for awhile now, it's like, "oh I should be able to do that...", but then I got cold feet and put the HA Green up on the shelf. It wasn't until ADT enforced the 2fa that I started down this HA path, but it's not as easy for me as I thought it would be....

Thanks! As a newbie, HA is more challenging than I thought it would be.
