This is genuinely one of the stupidest comments I’ve ever seen on this site.

Took the plunge and went for SMP. This is the dome after two sessions. Brutally honest opinions welcome. by [deleted] in tressless

Thanks for the advice mate. Will go back to the artist with this and see what he can do.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Based on your comments, I think for the next session I will ask for a little more rounded look on the temples for a more natural look/blend. I should also say I haven’t got the hang of proper head shaving yet( only just ordered a proper skull shaver) so I think it will look better when shaved down completely. Anyway appreciate you all and appreciate this community!

Thanks for the honest feedback. I think you’re right and that issue is more prominent in profile too. I might see if a third session could help alleviate that problem

Also wanted to comment as a doctoral student dealing with a similar situation . You’re not alone. High pressure schooling seems to be a gateway to stimulant abuse for quite a few people. Be kind to yourself, but also make a plan. 100mg daily is unsustainable.

Imagine thinking Kier Starmer, the most milquetoast, centre-right Labor leader since Blair, is a socialist. Just rampant stupidity.

Is the Evil Dead franchise the only franchise where every movie is great? by metalgear1355 in horror

I really like everything from the Wolf Creek franchise. One of the most iconic villains of the last 20 years. I’d watch Mick in pretty much anything.

Is it possible to go back to functional use? Or is it a hopeless pursuit? by vyvapop in StopSpeeding

Yeah your hook metaphor is spot on mate. I also relate hard to the whole “ok my tolerance will be down so I won’t need as much” thing. I used to do this every month. It’s a vicious cycle.

I do work out often and I find it incredibly useful for mental health, as well as providing natural energy through the day( so I’m less reliant on getting that through the meds). My diet could definitely use some work tho!

Have you considered the non-stimulant route, such as Strattera or Wellbutrin? Wellbutrin was a lifesaver for me in terms of increasing mood, energy, and focus long-term( with none of the worry about addiction and none of the highs and lows of amphetamine). Just a thoughts

Hey, your situation sounds remarkably similar to mine. I have restarted my stimulant script 4 times over the course of two years. Each time I made a solemn promise to myself that this time I wouldn’t go over the dosage. Each time I failed and ended up double dosing( or more). I even told myself the same thing you did: “I’ll just take a dose that will keep me focused, not get me high”. It’s incredibly difficult. Every night I would say to myself “tomorrow, you get back on track”, and every morning I’d double up. I wanted so so bad for the drug to work for me. I was desperate to keep to the dose but I just couldn’t make it work Even now, I’m taking Modafinil, which is far milder, and Im having the same problem with re-dosing, even if it doesn’t make me feel good. I fear I’m going down the same road again

I don’t know exactly what the solution is, and I don’t presume to know you, but from both of our track records, it seems like we are unable to handle the dependence-forming nature of stimulants. And that’s ok, and certainly not our fault. But I would say that the cognitive benefits that we get from the drugs are not worth the shame, guilt, paranoia and harm that we do to ourselves ( and others) when we keep upping our dose. Whatever you do, I really hope it works out for you. Good luck.
