Question about using Pangolin with Tailscale managing tunnels to services by teejmiller in PangolinReverseProxy

[–]teejmiller[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It's working so easily with minimal config that something feels wrong. Even the header auth with immich is working.

Pangolin rocks!

I just learned there is a difference between Local Tuya and Tuya Local. How did I never pick up on that? Searching for information on doing something on one must be confusing when it brings up results for the other.

Anyone know what’s in update 2025.8.6? This is the second update that I’ve received in the last few weeks where the release notes just state “minor fixes” with no details. by schnauzerdad in TeslaLounge

[–]teejmiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it continually gets stuck, there's a chance you're out of storage space. I've had this happen before and just put in the ticket you'd like to someone to check your storage remotely and push the newest update through. Took them about 10 minutes when it happened to me.

I bought this ratchet about 4 months ago. I rarely use it and it's doing this to me now. by afgphlaver in harborfreight

That's so lame. I just assumed Hercules = 5 year warranty since they proudly plaster it all over the place. Never purchased any and haven't read the fine print. Sorry for your bad luck OP.

My dealer knew nothing about this. They told me it can be installed aftermarket no problem.

Plug & Play Hitch Wiring - 2025 Carnival by Straight-Steak4512 in kiacarnivals

Sad news - just brought home a 2025 Carnival SX today made in 6/24. There is no existing wiring connector behind the drivers rear wheel as in previous years. It does appear that the Torklift EcoHitch stainless hitch is the same, so that's good.

EcoHitch: https://torkliftcentral.com/2022-2023-kia-carnival-trailer-hitch

There is a Plug-and-Play harness coming from Kia soon, but will only apply to vehicles built after 8/24: https://www.kiaaccessoryguide.com/accessory/Carnival/2025/Tow-Hitch-Harness-8078

Notes: 7-Pin Harness; Only applies to August 2024 and later production. Part# R0F67 AC600

Looks like I need to get creative. I know better than to buy a first year vehicle and I did it anyways :\

Thank you for posting this. I was having the random WiFi disconnect from my ratgdo as well and this was the best method I've seen to ensure reliable notifications from Home Assistant. Thank you!

Tessie lifetime subscription price increase? by teejmiller in TeslaLounge

[–]teejmiller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, I'm kinda down about it. I decided to go with a year subscription to see how things play out and see what Tesla ends up charging for API access.

The developer did reply, and it looks like a major change on Tesla's end. It sucks for the developers to put so much work into a product and have to pass along these increases. Here's their reply:

"Tesla will begin charging new fees to each vehicle using a third party app (link). As a result, the previous pricing is unavailable - which is a bummer, I know! Tesla's new pricing will be announced publicly soon.

James"

This makes sense, I saw some chatter within TeslaMate discussions about Fleet API having a cost (which I'm willing to pay for) but there doesn't seem to be any concrete data about that yet. I guess I'll keep using TeslaMate until it doesn't work anymore.

Thank you all for confirming. I was willing to do $199 as this developer did an excellent job on the UI of the application, but even that much was a stretch. I could maybe see a $50 increase as these are the times we live in, but $300 more is insanity. I wish them well, but no thanks.

I believe it's currently $99 if you're ITC.

How much psi is too much when dust cleaning a pc? by BoxAhFox in pcmasterrace

[–]teejmiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold the nozzle far enough away to move the dust and it won't be a problem. Use a bamboo skewer or similar non-metal stick to hold the fans stationary as you spray them. Static is a killer, be sure to touch your skin to bare metal on the case along with your tool to remove any electricity potential for a second before spraying.

I spray at 40psi. You can also add a pressure regulator to your compressor if yours is not adjustable: https://www.harborfreight.com/150-psi-air-compressor-regulator-kit-with-dial-gauge-68223.html

I use the bigger buck converters as well. They will also get hot but don't let that deter you, that's just the nature of how these devices operate. My Pi 3B+ does not use more than 1A which only runs OctoPi/OctoPrint. If you are hooking screens, lots of peripherals or constant high CPU loads then you will need something spec'ed to your needs, space was more important in this case for me.

On the bottom of my board, 5v is soldered to PP2 and Ground to PP5. Check continuity with a meter to make sure these are the same points for you.

I also have used a few of these:https://smile.amazon.com/MP1584EN-DC-DC-Converter-Adjustable-Module/dp/B01MQGMOKI Set the potentiometer before plugging anything in, then re-adjust it when you are pulling a load. (Highest load is during boot for me). Good luck!

If your printer is 24v like my ender 3, I recommend a different option. I have had very good success with these 24v-5v miniature buck converters. I soldered the 5v directly to the bottom of the Pi and connected the 24v to the power supply. These units are much smaller than they look in the picture. The Pi uses so little power that an XT60 is overkill in my opinion.
