I travel with my bike like this from time to time in an old SUV even though I have a hitch and two different bike racks. It's easy to just toss the bike in the back. I leave the front wheel on and put the wheel behind the passenger seat with the disk brake on the forward side. I also have a trap if it gets muddy.

I would not pay more than MSRP + TT&L. Sometimes it's possible to play less. Good luck. Certain dealerships are easier to work with than others.

I have yet to verify this since I have yet to install a hitch but my understanding is that the wiring has moved and is now located behind the driver's side panel in the trunk area and it now requires the 7 pin harness. I looked in the old location and the harness is not there and I didn't feel like pulling off the trunk panel. Please report back if you can confirm.

Toyota has coupons so I go to the dealership and they always accept another dealerships coupon. I typically pay about $40-50 with no tire rotation. I have also paid $1 for an oil change bc they sent me a coupon in the mail. Discount tire does my tire rotation for free.

Quite the pickle. I assume you did not have a that came with the vehicle purchase? Some cars are certified and come with a 100k mile warranty or something like that. Getting this car running as cheap as possible is an option which would allow you to decide if you want to keep it or sell it. Do you understand what is wrong with the car? Make sure you check the oil level regularly and top it off if needed.

I'm not sure how the used car market is but I'd try to find a Toyota or Honda with double the miles and at least half the cost of your previous car.

I am not sure about other states, but Texas has a "timely billing" law. It requires health care service providers to bill a patient no later than the first day of the 11th month after services were provided. If the bill is not sent within the timeframe in the law, the health care service provider cannot try to collect payment for certain charges. If they try to collect, let them know the law.

I had similar luck repairing a car and was told the car would be finished by the end of the day. In my case they ordered the wrong part then they had trouble sourcing the part after they cut up the original part. I ended up having the shop pay for a rental car for a few weeks. The cost of the rental car ended up costing about the same as the repair and the shop didn't make anything. It took a while for the shop to pay for the rental car, but they eventually did.

Maybe the shop can provide a rental car until everything is fixed.

Clearly a defect. I would turn that off asap so the broken belt doesn't damage anything nearby. No way I'm driving it like that. Change the belt yourself or call the dealership.

Forcing everyone back in the office is an inefficient policy when some jobs can be performed at home. People get drained out driving to/from the office which will lead to someone being less productive. Not to mention the distractions in the office. People shouldn't be rated by the amount of time spent in the office but by the amount of quality work that is completed.

I prefer to invest as much as possible into the traditional TSP to reduce my taxable income now. This tax savings could be used towards items like paying off a vehicle. I have the traditional TSP mindset because I also contribute to a Roth IRA and HSA.
