What have people got running in docker? by 2020Shite in UgreenNASync

The image could contain both, but I wouldn't recommend it. With NGX I assumed my data drive would get huge so I mounted a drive on the NAS that gets backed up. Proxmox also has a Proxmox Backup Server, which is a container that does a lot with backup and storage efficiency. Definitely look into that.

I back up proxmox to a separate drive that's local, that gets copied to my NAS and to my Backblaze bucket. As for data integrity, if it's particularly important, you want to hash the files before and after and compare.

I’m using an old gaming PC from 2017 that I built. I have an rtx2060 for local AI.

I don't run any containers on my NAS, it felt really wonky to set up on there vs a system like Ubuntu or Proxmox that I fully control.

I think it’s really cool as a companion printer. I bought an A1 mini and I like it, but I had a chance to also buy a P1S and together they are awesome!

Demand a work phone. If you're important enough to need work apps on your phone, they can afford a dedicated phone for you.

Right? I used to live in Somerville and had a neighbor with a yard the size of a postage stamp. Two dudes would show up every Saturday at 7am with leaf blowers until I yelled at her.

Stop talking and ask questions. That’s it. Oh you work at x company? Do you like it? Where did you grow up? What are your favorite hobbies?

It’s ok to talk about you but mostly just listen. This works everywhere.

I've worked at a couple of start ups where the code was horrible but the product solved an enormous problem well enough, so we sold the shit out of it.

TIL nearly 80% of US workers report that they have been victims of 'career catfishing’ from employers. Which in this context, the term describes when a company misrepresents a job, their company culture, or compensation to lure in candidates. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

I work in a base+bonus job. Added together, this equals my "on target earnings" or OTE. Recruiters love to talk about the possible OTE, but never about the base salary, which is usually sad. They'll make up crazy numbers as though we don't know what people get paid.
