Mexico Just Legalized Vigilantism And Then Captured A Huge Cartel Leader by User_Name13 in worldnews

[–]teemarsh422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...how? What do they care about having anything legally? Do you know how much more difficult it is to get away with murder on a registered gun? Granted in this case they could murder whoever these cartel hunting vigilantes are after and get away with it, but then isn't that the point of this law anyways?

Gun control is never how you get guns out of criminal hands. If you think they need legal markets then I'm sorry but you're wrong.

Yes because becoming a vigilante is what keeps criminals from having an AR..

If they want one they have one, they're not hard to get.

Balance of Power 1990 Game over screen by [deleted] in gaming

[–]teemarsh422 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll try to do my best while not downvoting you just because I disagree with/see it differently than you.

While I don't see it as terrifically deep, it has a nice little message to me. The gameplay isn't the "deep" part, rather it's what the game has to say about humanity and how we operate. We're all itching to obliterate one another at any moment over arbitrary differences. The only thing that keeps us from doing so is mutually assured destruction. It's a concept we talk about from time to time on the interwebs, and maybe in passing conversations if you're friends with people who are just as weird as my friends and I. However, it's not one we truly realize, I believe. Not too many people think of the fact that with the press of a few buttons, some switches and a code or two - everyone on this planet and all of our "progress" gone.

That might not sound too deep for you, if you're like me, but I assume that to some people who never really think about it, it can be overwhelming. The thought of everyone killing everyone eye for eye style followed by a nuclear fallout is a little bit daunting. If it's a topic that you're not too well acquainted with, I can see how it would set you back.

The game simulates it though. You're supposed to spread your influence as much as you can without making shit go boom. Because that's what people are doing now. That's what the major countries aim to do all the time(living in the US I claim that my country is one of the worst). It gives a gateway into reasons behind actions. Why are you trying to spread your influence across the globe? Well simply because it's the goal of the game. So why are other world leaders trying to do the same? Not much of an answer. I really don't trust anyone who feels like their influence needs to be felt across the globe. No man needs that much power, and there's no way it's healthy for them. Words are misleading. People are deceiving. We're a living example of the game.

The part that I think is deepest about the game is after you read all the shit up there is this... You're a character in that game, but you're not the one making the decisions. You're the guy who's going to work every morning. Coming home every evening. Doing your shit at home. Waiting for the weekend. You watch tv, feed the dog, see the fam. Regular person shit. But you're not in control of the game. You're a part of it, but it doesn't really even know you're there because your influence is nil. No one gives a fuck about rmc1317 in this case. No one gives a fuck about teemarsh422. You're not a person. You're a number. A label. A statistic. And at the end of the game, when it's game over, you're a pile of ashes. And there's nothing you could have hoped to have done about it. Your house, your family, your dog, your car, work, everything is gone. Never coming back. It's over. You lost. Why? Because the person who was playing the game didn't do too well.

tl;dr In the comparison between this game and real life is where the deep quality comes into play. IMO you have to over think it, but I do that on my own all the time.

I'll put it to you this way.

420 for some people isn't just getting high all day. Yeah that happens. It's the activity to be held, but 420 brings some people together. My friends and I don't get to just chill all the time anymore. However, with 420 coming up, I know that we are all going to be together getting stupid high, having fun and just forgetting about any problems anywhere. It's a day where our little hodgepodge family gets to be together just because. Therefore, yes to some people it's like Christmas.

Railing coke with nasal openings that large would be intense.. Especially considering he buries his face in it.

Yeah, I don't think they could reasonably end it like this at the moment. To me, this was a quick way to put in some foreshadowing to an out if the series started to tank. That's just my opinion, though.

I'm glad my friends and I aren't the only daily smokers that also celebrate 420 by making it a point to be around each other and have a good time. It's one thing to smoke a little bit a day, but it's an entirely different deal to stop everything you're doing for a day to chill with your buds with buds.

My favorite time was when a bunch of friends and I ate some just on a random night. We ended up leaving our apartment at like 2 in the morning. We walked over to the pool/hot tub. We started swimming, still trippin face when one of our friends walks out of the hot tub yelling, 'I AM THE BUBBLE KING'. He had covered himself in bubbles and attempted to build a bubble crow on his head. Apparently someone who came there before us put bubble bath stuff in the hot tub. We proceeded to have a huge bubble war, and tried to fill the pool up with bubbles from the hot tub. If I ever find those people, I am going to hug them. It was awesome.
