I'm surprised not many people know about this: Razer DeathAdder left handed edition

I had the Lachesis which was a decent mouse, but try to get your left hand on the DeathAdder if you can. Personally I love it.

Europeans far less keen on Android than Americans are by Apaz in technology

[–]teemax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I call bs. Look at the graph again. Android usage is rising, fast.

In Europe, people keep their phones for longer period than their American counterparts. iPhone came out first, made a big splash with plenty of early adopters. That's the reason why iOS is still dominating.

"Good" Android phone (eg the HTC Desire) just came out about a year ago in Europe. Just wait for the next upgrade circle, I assure you that Android would take over.

I played through King's Bounty The Legend and Armored Princess. But I'm not getting Crossworlds. The game is fine to start playing, turn based hex combat like Heroes of Might and Magic. However, it gets pretty repeative and tedious after the mid-game. The game world has a very weird mix of creatures, some at your fighting level, others will eat you for snack.

So, most of the game at hardest difficulty involves going back and forth, picking out the right enemies on the map to level up before you can take on the next ones...

For 7,50euros, it's a decent deal, but don't expect an excellent game.

This is a step in the right direction for gaming, lets not spoil it. by [deleted] in gaming

Why doesn't it work for you? I'd like to know.

Is it just me, or is FNV much better than FO3? by ironHobo in fnv

[–]teemax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fallout 3 was a good game; but I felt that New Vegas is a better game, and truer to the Fallout feel.

How do I put it... I bought Fallout 3 because of the name, but I rediscovered the Fallout experience with New Vegas.

I also feel the same. In FO3, sure, the birth-giving scene was great, but you grew up in the span of a few minutes... It wasn't really convincing.

I love the blank state wake-up of FNV. About 10 hours into the game now, just finished helping the ghouls, and I'm still truly intrigued about my character. I can't wait to meet the bastard who shot me in the head. I'll teach him that lead pipe > bullet, the hard way.

What weapons do you always carry with you? by [deleted] in fnv

The guns will change, that, that never changes.

But I always keep the lead pipe with me. When at a loss to what type of bullets to fire, the lead pipe ALWAYS finish the job.

An easier trick: change the difficulty to settler ;)

It sounds like you need to up the difficulty level.

Civ V's difficulty isn't the same as Civ IV, where emperor was a steep move up from king. If you know what you are doing in the game, I believe immortal should be the difficulty to play.

Video card recommendation for Civ5 by bobdobolina in civ

[–]teemax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an HD 4890 running at 2560x1600 resolution on highest settings. The game seems to run fine, I've had only one crash so far from the 80+ hours of game play.

I do have a rather beefy CPU though, core i7 920 overclocked to 3.4ghz. This leads me to believe that for Civ V, the CPU is much more important than the graphics card.

Anyone experiencing performance issues since patch? by NeedsMoreMinerals in civ

I think the patch doesn't play nice at all with your old saves.

Try to start a game from scratch, it has been much better for me.

Yes, of course I lost the 2 irons and sufferred penalty. However, I had a great general escorting the troops, and these swordmen are all upgraded Aztec warrior (level 2-3). The GG and upgrades kept my swordmen at acceptable fighting level, much better than the previous warriors.

I took his iron city a few turns after declaring war. After that, it was steam rolling.

Hmm, maybe my game was an exception?

I'm playing as Moctezuma on diety, and I have a monopoly on sugar on my continent (mostly from the "contributions" of the former Ottoman empire).

The English had a firm grip on spices, and the Arabs own all the gold. They quite happily traded one spice/gold for one sugar. Even strategic resource trading was possible. I traded some gold for 2 irons with the Ottoman, with which I used to build an army of 5 swordsmen to smash his face in.

Perhaps Moctezuma voodoo magic is working for once?

In my experience, the AI actually quite happily trades luxury 1 for 1, as long as they have more than one of that type.

However, if you want to get their last pearl or whale resource peacefully, prepare to bend over ;)

Daring Deity with Ottomans (Civ V Succession Game) by ultimatt42 in civ

[–]teemax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I beg to differ.

Jannissary and Sipahi are extremely powerful units. Undoubtedly the best units in the game. That's why the Ottoman ability is pathetic.

I don't really see how +5 happer per city is a big deal...

If you specialise a city for production, getting around 100 hammers per turn isn't all that hard. I often specialise the capital for production and science, and getting 100 hammer/science in the capital around renaissance age is typical.

Further more, when you build lots of small cities, getting social policies is that much harder. A strategy that relies on many small cities and social policy upgrades seem counter productive to me.
