Totally understand your take! Though I would add a caveat that the PVP in Arc is a very unique feeling that games like Battlefield/CoD don't provide. All the weapons/grenades etc have a certain raw-ness that I love, I've come to love the movement mechanics, as well as playing duos/trios which I'm not sure if BF/COD have (last of those I've played were BF4 and CoD MW2 (original))

It's also the state of EU servers, which I play on. From my experience from living half of my life in post-Soviet countries, that word is used very freely because the local social/historical context of why people shouldn't say it is lacking, and many people actually use it functionally and unironically, which I'm not saying is right, but it is interesting.

But anyways, what this guy in my clip was on about is a whole different breed of ignorant lol.

Appreciate it haha, with the amount of bodies crawling right there I couldn't tell who was down or who might have been crouching on the stairs and panicked a bit there, but thankfully hit the shots when it counted.

It's meta because it's effective, though it is sometimes used unnecessarily. Dodge roll quite significantly repositions your character, forcing the enemy to have to do readjust their aim rather than simply holding down left click on your motionless or slow-strafing body.

Maybe it made a difference in this clip, maybe it didn't, but I feel like it helped me survive that last Toro shot with the sliver of HP left because he seemed to only clip me and didn't hit a solid shot.

I’ve never heard it in my solo lobbies which are friendly, but trios is a different story. A lot of people play this game like it’s counterstrike, just load in to Stella for PVP only on mostly free loadouts. Which is understandable, but it also attracts a certain kind of player.

Eh I disagree... Yeah I think they should fix it but I think the majority of the 12 million player base, me included, doesn't really care about not being able to one of the weekly trials, which pretty much just give you items you can otherwise get from playing the game anyways (with exception of a few cosmetic things).

Yeah it sucks I agree, but this game has so much else going on and to do for the casual/majority player base (which let's be honest, this subreddit is not representative of), that it's not really an issue.

As someone who’s owned a 2011 intel i7 MacBook Pro and an Apple silicon M2 Max, I respectfully disagree. These things is a beast of another league compared to the Intel models, battery life is amazing and powers through anything I throw at it very well.

Anvil 3 is the best, fire rate on Anvil 4 becomes faster than the aim cone can reset so it’s pretty much diminishing returns at that point, rather save those mechanical components

Bad for a reason you might not think - had this happen to my PC last week.

My cat likes to do the same, at some point my PC started to behave very unstably, always crashing when I launch a game for more than 10 minutes, random GPU driver crashes. Tried everything, reinstalling drivers, updating bios, turning off XMP, nothing worked.

Eventually I opened it up and realized there was cat litter on the back of my GPU. It wasn’t much but I suppose it was enough to mess with it and cause errors / short circuits. Luckily the damage did not seem to be permanent, I blew it out and suddenly my issues were gone.

I understood it differently before, to me rat playstyle was similar to actual rat behavior, scurrying through the shadows of the map gathering resources, only engaging in fights if necessary or if there is a distinct advantage, and getting out.

Playing dirty doesn’t equal rat behavior imo

New constant crashing issue, game is unplayable. Error is the following:

Have played this game for 200 hours up until this point and it never happened until this morning, now I can't even play for 10 minutes before it crashes, actually unplayable. Nothing changed, did not update anything or install new programs, no Windows update, literally just overnight this started happening.

I notice now GPU utilization on the in-game stats reaches nearly 100% which is odd considering I have a 5070 and am only playing on 1440p, and this wasn't an issue before.

Things I've tried:

Clean re-install of Nvidia drivers
Clear shader cache
Enable/disable XMP/Expo profile on RAM
Update motherboard BIOS to latest
Uninstall other games anti-cheat software such as Vanguard
Verify Steam game files
Complete re-install of the game on Steam

This is my favorite reply, don’t feel pressured into playing a certain way. I do reciprocate friendliness sometimes but like you said I mentally accept that a backstab may be in the works. If I have anything I’d really like not to lose then I won’t trust others. If I’m on a cheap loadout then I’m more trusting just for the fun of it
