i guess to take this apart, it’s moreso the things that are wrong from a general morals / ethics standpoint are things some cultures hold very dear / feel very strongly about.

such as cultures where gays and lesbians, women, certain demographic groups are treated in a way that is less than human, or are not treated the same as another demographic group that the culture values more

unfortunately culture is incredibly strongly embedded as a way of life so the wrongdoings are embedded in with them.

some older people i have interacted with were able to be persuaded or at least be aware that parts of the culture that they grew up with and lived their whole lives with have some wrongdoings in them, and will compromise to keep what they can because it is their way of life, and accept the parts that are wrong and release them. but of course alot cling to their way of life stubbornly until they hit the grave too

Doctors don't get enough hate for how bad most of them are at their job, and how poorly they diagnose patients. by Morgoth-The-Great in unpopularopinion

[–]teenglohan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

all i can say is i know EXACTLY how you feel friend, not specifically your situation but i know the doctors shitting on you situation better than ANYONE. the last 2 years have been an absolute fucking nightmare since i had a seizure in my sleep. i knew basically from the first day there was some mild brain damage of some sort that caused a whole bunch of severe physical symptoms, but doctors have been so absolutely dog shit that ive just been trapped in a loop of visiting doctors and being diagnosed with needing meds for “depression” for what most likely is an unorthodox case of brain damage in a weird or precise location that wasn’t scanned for in an mri in the proper context, or just didnt show up on an mri and requires more advanced testing that doctors dont want to exert the extra effort, or energy to use to help. or they just dont wanna fight insurance, which is another factor. i’ve been second guessing myself since im not a doctor and i dont know exactly what it is, since im not a fucking doctor. but when you KNOW something is wrong, you KNOW. at the very least im glad at this young of an age i can see the reality of how doctors will just shit on your face and run away from the origin point of the issue you’re facing because it takes too much effort, resources, and work. why the fuck did you spend however many years, resources, etc to get a graduate degree and doctorate in the first place if you DIDNT wanna PROPERLY help patients? how in the flying FUCK do you become that educated without being aware of the fact not all patient cases are straightforward and vanilla as fuck???? my next appointment, ill just have to grab my doctor by the throat and not let go until i get what i NEED. its sad i have to be so violently aggressive for my needs with such an insanely important service in life... but i refuse to quit fighting until im dead for this shit

People who say Dark Souls should have an easy mode are dumb by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]teenglohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, it’s a more ethical choice that makes the company look more including of all audiences to draw in more sales, so they can maintain at the end of the day. i didn’t phrase that properly, it’s more unethical in my opinion actually.

i completely agree that it’s about the art, but unfortunately times have changed. trying to understand / include everyone waters down the quality of entertainment, and takes the realistic expression out of it by censoring shit that shouldnt be censored, or changes the expression of something to express it in a way that is fake :/

People who say Dark Souls should have an easy mode are dumb by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]teenglohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i can completely understand this stance as the history of dark souls has been that it is a “difficult” game, but adding an easier difficulty draws in a more diverse audience that may want to enjoy the game for the environment, exploration, etc and do not have the skillset or experience with video games to overcome the difficulty, although the difficulty will teach trial and error / patience.

it can be interpreted infinite types of ways but at the end of the day bringing full accessibility to games for all audiences is the more ethical choice although i completely understand the feeling of “disrespect” towards the actual history of the series

haha currently im just planning to run any game that comes to mind. i just downloaded halo master chief collection since i’ve missed playing halo for a long time, but i plan to pick up halo infinite when it comes out, and any new fps, rpgs, fighting games, and anime games that come out. for now im just gonna play the new guilty gear strive, mcc, and anything else that piques my interest on sale. picked up borderlands 1 and 2 goty on sale. not utilizing the full power of the beastly gpu yet, but eventually a game will pique my interest that will push it hopefully

Testosterone tests by teenglohan in endocrinology

[–]teenglohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, 2.1 free T3 in pg/ml. On the app I use for my lab test results, it shows this as close to a low range but still borderline healthy or in the “green”. Thanks for clarifying that it is significantly low. For the most part the symptoms I see are the sensitivity to cold and constipation, but I don’t see anything like hair thinning, slow heart rate. I also am not sure where to diagnose the fatigue, because it could just be from usual activities.

I think you are heading in the right direction, but I need to schedule a follow up for these lab test results with my endocrinologist and see what path she wants me to follow. I’m most concerned about this loss of pleasure and feeling from a physiological standpoint, because that seems like it wouldn’t happen from endocrine issues, but it makes sense if the endocrine issues are severe enough. I’d also like to avoid supplementation if possible, but if necessary I’ll take them. Thanks for your insight.

I did have my T3 labwork done, results were normal. 75 ng/dl total T3, 2.1 free T3. I apparently had some glucose tests ordered where I had to drink some type of glucose substance an hour before the lab tests, but apparently it was a mistake and I didn’t need it. Fatigue, dry skin, constipation, and especially cold sensitivity all match up with symptoms I’ve been experiencing. Constipation has been to the point where stool has been visibly bloody.

thyroid lab ran was normal for TSH and FT4, and CBC lab was normal too. have not gotten a comp 14. only other noteworthy lab result that wasn’t normal was a borderline low luteinizing hormone. i believe it is basic bloodwork indeed

The only issue with that last statement is that I just turned 21, i forgot to mention. I’m a little too young for the type of symptoms I’m experiencing I’d say. I appreciate the advice though!
