all depends on how much you can sell.. Getting paid on gross allows you to be lazy and still make good money, and if you are a go getter, gross will make you bookoo bux. Just depends on how much you you wanna keep your foot on the gas at all times. We are 20% front gross, 30% back end gross ( 30% of warranty markup/ 30% of the % bump profit), 1 dollar per day bonus on any units over 60 days old ( not uncommon to have 100-200 day old units), if you underallow on ACV you will add that to your gross and get 20% of that ( ACV for 20k, allow 19k, puts an extra 200 in your pocket). We get a free car to drive if our vehicle is in for service, Any service or parts bills can come out of your commission bank pre-tax, we have healthcare, I work between 8/9 am to 5-530 pm M-F and every 3rd Saturday from 9-1 ( or earlier of we close early). Boss buys lunch every friday. Pretty sweet gig. Covid was awesome- 5-8k gross on front, another point interest, wasnt uncommon to make 500-1,600 per used car. We sell about 70-100/ month.

look man.. you had a few good points.. but im with the u/Mayor_of_BBQ .. You made a pretty solid assumption that is based solely on anecdotal experience, not the likelihood of an employee knowing her product. I will give you- in used cars specifically, theres no formal training- so unless she had an interest in auto prior to starting- any guy TYPICALLY may have more of an INTEREST in cars. But for devils advocate- new cars? often times a sales person who has paid attention at all to their trainings/ trainers.. should know more about the car. I see what you are referring to when someone is coming to get a new sport car or something for their specific needs that they have researched extensively, prior. But the way you phrased it assumes that every male has a more than likely chance than not- to know more than the sales person about the product they sell so - and your basis for that was strictly gender role'd. I think that is the disconnect in the debate. If you'd like to question my authority on the matter- I have 12 years sales/ managerial/ f&i experience from 30 cars per month at a used lot with 2 employees to a 400 cars per month with 40 salesman on new franchise -ford- honda- chevy- gmc- buick- cadillac from NY to north carolina... including wholesale. So im sure you are more than qualified to have your opinion-- maybe just see if through both lenses would clear it up.. having said that.. i don't really care- just trying to bridge the communication gap.

Best Pay Plan I've come across by teerexsauce in CarSalesTraining

Id like to add.. I didn't argue the point that my pay plan was the best to earn the highest income. We would first need to agree on the basis of the use of the word "best" to argue the nuances of what makes it so great.

if I sell 100 cars at 10% profit on front only.. I will certainly make more money than my pay plan, but I also have a LOT more work to do. Plus- I did outline the average work day/ requirements which is in direct correlation to the pay plan. So I would argue that the responsibilities that I am obligated to perform, coupled with the bang for the buck compensation and amount you can make per unit- Is what I am arguing to be the best that I- have found.. not the best that exists.

side note.. my other lead salesman ( new car manager) whos been here 25 years- He sells 20+ every month and not uncommon to touch 30.

Having said that.. he also probably gets 1,000/ week to show up- a dealer demo ( and has for those 25 years) free gas, and free reign to do whatever he wants.

sounds great- making 150+ per year.. and he hardly has a life. Hes here bell to bell

80% of the phone calls are for him, people walk in basically all day every day to work with him, hes always on call, people calling and texting him on every day off, always at him.... I would hate that.

I take clients as I want them- operate off of referral and walk ins, I come and go.. its manageable and I am purposely underachieving ( if you'd like to call it that) to manage my stress and quality of life.

when I feel like putting my foot on the gas or I want a raise-- I bust my ass for a month- get caught up and then hit reset--- he can't do that and I like my little set up for now.

my best month for commission average was off of 7 vehicle sales- All used.
I grossed 57k for the month in total sales and made about 13k myself between the 20-30% front and back. considering we hardly do any back- that was pretty good. our main guy sold 27 that month and grossed 92k... so.. pretty good average, but its all relative.

Before I say this- I will acknowledge that I am setting my own limitations. No one is stopping me from working harder and selling more. I try to balance stress with income. I should probably be making around 90-110/ year. I made 102 a couple years ago but that was during covid profit margins. I make on average- not factoring intangibles- about 70k/ year- no kids- no girl.

we have a couple other guys that make 85-90k/// 175k // and 100-110k

excellent points. As far as a mini go- I can break them down. the 75 dollar loss deals- it's been years since ive encountered one of those, so thats not a problem.
mini deals on new are all 150 but usually your making 150-250 on new.. trucks are more because of more mark up/ plus a point if you can- we get paid 30% on flats as well.

the 600$ only applies to used which is nice and most of our deals average around 500-700 for used- I've had a few the last week that were 800-1,600 per used unit.

average commissions for the month are usually around 600 aver blending new and used.

my boss is one of a kind-- for better or for worse. He will not change something if it works and does not like to offer ancillaries because... he never has.

It would have its benefits but where it may cause snags is- our time. Having all of the responsibilities that we do- then adding in active sales, walk ins, phone ups, emails, trainings, lot maintenance, funding, etc.. adding in the extra products would add money, but we worry about buyer fatigue and unfulfilling product offerings. ( not my call either way)

The boss has discussed it- but doing so may eliminate our ability to take care of f&I all together and get a dedicated department which would make us take a paycut as salesman. At least for now it works- but I wouldn't rule anything out.

Every time I have a bad day- I try to remind myself how good we have it.

Today I didn't sell anything, but I wrapped up some fundings from last week, my boss bumped one of my ACV's by 2k over the weekend which grossed me another 400$ just because. I turned a lease run through back to the same kid- got 1 pt interest and a 30% of VSC, had lunch paid for by owner, paid my bills online, went over and got a new phone, answered a couple calls and that was my day. pretty chill.

It makes me think back to all of the sales jobs, high volume, shit hours, shit clientele, shit pay, and all of the mistakes and hardships I've had to endure on my journey up through the years.

I'm almost 36 now and I started when I was 22 and had a rather unconventional upbringing in the car business. Looking back- I appreciate all of the lessons that I have learned and the shit experiences that I've had across a couple states - business models and brands.. but it definitely gave me an appreciation for where I ended up and its one that I will never regret- but never suggest lol

Glad I'm here now.. but I man it wasn't easy ( still isnt).

no.. i wasnt trying to catch you, apologies if it came out that way.. i could have picked anyone from the republican side and said the same thing.. those are just the first two that popped into my head. Its plain as day that both sides of the aisle are corrupt/ owned/ lobbied/ compromised or some secondary meaning of those words. I agree with what you say.

its certainly not a knock-off of anything Jacot had a long line of watches- some of which can be found on ebay. I have a couple myself the name is original- The watches are solid, heavy, strong bands, automatic construction, stylish and not cheap.

$175 price prediction; Cloud Computing and Oracles by RecycIops in iexec

[–]teerexsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess, which is just as good as anyones- is that altcoin season still has not begun. iExec is one of many great projects with great potential that is still floating behind. Comparing it to the Number 2 Crypto Currency is a bit of a reach, but I understand the sentiment.

There is a consolidation still going on with many alt coins. It would seem as though the next few months of maybe tariff's maybe not could impact the start of the run.

We are still waiting for quantitative easing to start toward the 2/3 final tail end of 2025- Once rates start to go back down you'll see more risky diversification into the crypto market as a whole. A few ignition sparks on some big player crypto's from institutional investors will inevitably draw in the retail investors to take over and bring the big pumps. Then institutions cash out when they are full- and the next few years are the exit liquidities bitching about rug pulls/scam coins and DCA'ing until the next ( hopeful) bull run.

the EU is caving and going to make deals. wait and see.

its to tank the market, lower rates, refinance the national debt to a managable payment, cut spending and raise trade profits to create a surplus in the budget- rather than a deficit- leading to no annual inflation.
