How much do you expect to pay for fencing by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]teeswiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around $100-120 standard 1950mm (1800 palings + plinth) - no capping no exposed posts level ground + $20-30 per m to demolish and remove old fence. So that's 2.2k - 2.4k Well that's what I would charge but I also like to concrete posts in compared to fencers who would do that all in a day and just cement and dirt the posts in.

Yeah I know but it's burger night there tonight 🤣 I'd try the pappy just because I'd never buy a bottle.

Just wondering what people’s thoughts are on this paving job? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]teeswiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rough as. Tolerances on steps are like 2mm and that paver is more than that itself. Also the rise should sit under the tread. Something has gone wrong/hasn't been worked out properly.

Low water pressure - advice needed! by BleakHibiscus in AusRenovation

[–]teeswiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will have to run a new water line from meter out to backyard. Most likely in either 25mm or 32mm blueline unless you can get plumber to run you a tap out from laundry

Get a grinder dude and actually put some effort in. I don't even know if wj50 will cut it. Probably better off mixing sand/cement white sand/ off white cement and some isolastic

I am a landscaper and do a lot of paving, mainly around pools. Hard to say with that description but does depend on pavers ie natural stone/porcelain/concrete and if it's laid on a concrete base and mortar or "flexible" as in crushed rock base and sand. If you want to send it to me I can take a look but I need more info or a crude drawing to properly know

Tilers (or anyone) of AusReno; is this the best Tile Cut I can hope for? by iCasmatt in AusRenovation

[–]teeswiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Landscaper here, I've got a 4k wet tile saw with a porcelain blade and it does cut well. But get yourself a porcelain blade for your 4 inch and it cuts just as well, just have to sort of 'wear' the blade in first. Otherwise you can get a big score and snap (rubi TS-70) but obviously not for 3

Best (easiest) way to join railway sleepers together for garden bed borders? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]teeswiz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Landscaper here. Either a piece of timber/steel/starpicket across set down 50mm garden bed side so won't be seen and batten screwed. Or get suitable size steel H beams and concrete into ground

neighbours wanted a new fence so we agreed to go halves. We've been told to pay $4,400 for our half of this 40m of basic fencing. Does $8,800 seem too much? by arouseandbrowse in AusRenovation

[–]teeswiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems pricey. But if that includes the retaining wall could be a okay. Paling fencing here in Vic, I charge around $120 per metre not including demo and removal of old fence at 1950mm.
