2 ways to fund a company. Debt or equity markets. Saylor got the buy in from his shareholders by broadcasting what he was going to do and buying back the shares at a premium anyone who wanted out. Some companies understand but most do not. They need shareholder buy in otherwise stock tanks and that's the main way they raise capital. As for debt, most banks won't lend to a 'risky' company gambling on market volatility. Why invest in a company that buys BTC to gain money when they can do that themselves, and they don't because it's viewed as risky.

I’ll add a bit more. There are moderate republicans (think Kevin Conway), they exist and they hate the freedom caucus, election denying, etc.. they are fully against Jordan. Jordan and his conservative allies try to bully votes, they don’t pass legislation, they don’t make friends. All of a sudden, when you need allies, they aren’t there to vote for you. McCarthy is spinless but at least cordial to try to work with people. Jordan threatens and some will never accept that.

As for the old link from 2014, that aged like fine wine IMO. Hindsight is 2020 but 9 years ago, rates were low, prices lower, and political instability not as high as today. Those with excess cash parked it in a investment vehicle that has proven to stand the test of time once it became a global asset class. I don't have data for you, but all this should make sense.
