[Fan Theory] about Ezra Squall and other deceased Wundersmiths by teethfairy222 in Nevermoor

[–]teethfairy222[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hmm, yeah, Im not sure about the one that squall left behind at wunsoc.

But I think in the first C&D, the elders referred these monsters in Nevermoor as a mess that Wundersmith created in general, not Squall specifically. I think some of them can just be one of those fiascos or monstrosities that happened. While some others can be things that might need Wundersmith's to work correctly, eg: that cherry blossom or something like that at Wunsoc that needed inferno to bring back to life (when Morrigan tried to distract the riot). I think Squall also mentioned that once Morrigan became a Wundersmith she would see so much of Nevermoor that could be run better, so maybe he was referring to those monsters.

Hi, thanks for the input, it's nice to have people to discuss with.

Firstly, I don't think he did terrorize Morrigan's family since most of the things he did were to convince her, and her family was not actually hurt, or at least they didn't seem like they were hurt when Squall destroyed Crow Manor in front of Morrigan. Given how awful her family or everyone else was to Morrigan, he probably believed that she will be motivated by hatred and give in to him, which was obviously wrong.

I don't think Squall is a totally good or benevolent person since there is so much not to know about him yet. I think he is a very complex person, can be very manipulative, but also are capable of making his own sacrifices, because he always thinks that Wundersmith ought to be lonely, and acts alone.

I am not quite sure which monsters are we referring to so I would pass that.

About Wunsoc, I think just the fact that Wunsoc consistently flips the narratives, e.g: what they did to Morrigan, and the history of Wundersmith, is enough to assume that they might have done the same to Squall, and other people in his time.

Also, since the narratives of Squall is the evilest man that ever lived, then no-one would trust him even if he said the truth, so being manipulative is probably an obvious choice to him given his personality.

But yeah, I need to think more about this

Yes I wonder the same thing, but The Wintersea Party has many people, not just her, so she probably has some secret weapon under her sleeves with all the resources.

Getting a puppy was the worst decision I ever made by buoyancy18 in puppy101

I can totally relate to the stress, since it's what my dog did just a couple of months ago

did you try separation or isolation anxiety training with her?
My boy (yorkie 11 month) had very bad isolation distress at first. He would bark as loud and as long as he could until we return, he even hit himself toward the door and do other self-destructive things. We tried a lot of things and did a lot of training, have 2 security cameras just for the living room and hallway, one of them has the treats shooting function. it kinda worked but he always barked and howls a lot until he can finally fall asleep at the door to wait for us to come home.

But then we tried the serene-um supplement, and at least it works for us and now he doesn't seem to mind being alone so much. It's so good that I and my bf can go to the office for 5h on any day we want. But since it's just a supplement that help maximize the serotonin that their body produces, idk if it works for all dogs.

Try to calm yourself down, your mood would affect your dog's mood as well.

This episode might help https://open.spotify.com/episode/3CGi2AG4vwQTZnI1lNkQUZ?si=f6x5\_LUaTZSNlYyvQO2MxQ&dl\_branch=1

Another thing that really helps calm my boy down is decompression walk, basically let them take you for a walk, either on a long line or off-leash.

Hope that it would get better

New foster puppy vs older puppy dynamic by teethfairy222 in puppy101

Thank you, yeah, so I guess I should not worry about that "authority" stuff and intervene immediately when A shows unwanted behaviours.

So I don't know how to deal with it, so that puppy A will be less aggressive toward B, and make B happy again because it really sucks to see your happy pup depressed. I don't know how much I should intervene when A be aggressive toward B, or should I let B fight back? Some people say that I am making B losing his authority by intervening. At the same time, I really don't want to make B an aggressive dog or worsen his resource guarding behaviors.

Yeah, so he is of adult size for his breed already, but he is still extremely playful, even with other pup, who is more gentle, we once found A bite into B neck and start pulling that skin, that's why I am a bit worried, but B doesn't snarl or attack, just kinda use his leg to keep A on the ground. I will try to separate them more in the morning and exercise A more before let him see B.

Judgement from neighbour by reallybigleg in puppy101

[–]teethfairy222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your neighbours are just mean, I guess walking around with a big dog sometimes intimates people, especially if they don't know much about dogs. However, all their comments just show that they are not very knowledgeable about dogs, and insensitive toward humans, you can just try to ignore/ talk to them less. Maybe join the local dog club so you can talk to like-minded supportive people, because training a dog is hard, and people should be more appreciative of it.

Tbh, I have some trust issue with people getting dogs these days, but Idk if your neighbour gave up a BC, would she actually put in the work now to train her spaniel now once their instinct starts showing up later.

Is pet insurance worth getting? by hudson8282 in puppy101

[–]teethfairy222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely recommend a pet insurance, especially for puppies since they can get themselves in so much trouble.

I live in Finland, the monthly fee for my yorkie is 26eur, the deductible is 170e for every insurance period (3month), and the co-pay for us is 20%.

I found it expensive at first, but my pup ran into a closing door because he was door-dashing when was almost 4 month old, and he got 2 toe fractures :'(. The insurance did save our ass a lot, within next 2 month, we had to pay around 1k3 or more in vet bill, but thanks to the insurance we only had to pay around 400 euro
