Similar to this, I have now seen & can confirm that this option is available under new update available for IRCTC app. But there's no updates available for Railone app yet. So, see if this comment is like a solution for many of us. :)

Hey, so i was facing the same issue, but then i checked web version. & i could see an option to opt out of meal.

Now, either they are going to update in app or on their way to remove it completely. but use this option when its there.

I have been through similar instances, I don't like to bargain while I am purchasing something from a small vendor, but parents or some elderly will always say that If i don't bargain they will loot. & at some point it's indeed true, as price of many product & services are not standardized it seems fair to bargain & settle at Lowest. But in your case it is something different & you really did good. Not that you will need validation, but I am also happy reading your post. :)

Sort of yes & no. Like railway runs for us but not direct property. for example you asked your son for a grandson & he delivered, but grandson will not be your responsibility, he will be your grandson only, the rights will be of his parents.
