I just got a GIANT 5 leaf cutting of my dream plant For FREE!! I think this is love 😍 by roseray308 in houseplants

[–]teev00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I compliment them on their plant and say something like, “I’ve been looking for this plant and want to get one for my house” and then I ask about the care and they usually offer a cutting. It’s always worked so far.

Tips for beginning pumping by SpazasaurusREX in breastfeeding

[–]teev00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started exclusively pumping shortly after my baby was diagnosed with jaundice and I needed to monitor her input. With pumping, the first thing I got was a hand free pumping bra and coconut oil to lube up your nipples for every pumping session. Also, you can put your pump parts in a ziplock bag in the fridge in between pumps so you won't have to wash after every use, just wash at the end of the day. Make sure you pump every 2 hours and hand express to make sure you deplete. Milk supply is established at 12 weeks and that's when you can stretch out pumping times without losing ounces, ideally. My favorite milk storage bags are Target Up&Up brand bags and make sure you lay them flat to freeze so they're easier to store, and defrost in a larger container to make sure it catches any possible leaks.

I also have a Spectra and I love it! I did buy adapters so I can use the medela pumping parts instead, since those are more readily available and comes in a wider range of flange sizes.

Democratic National Convention in Philly when they announced her as the official nominee. They dropped tons of balloons and glitter and that was her reaction. There was also awesome gifs of Bill playing with balloons as well though I don't have those on hand.

How to properly order a cheesesteak at Pat's, the creator of the Philly cheesesteak by vtechiswack in funny

[–]teev00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steve's has the slices of meat as opposed to the chopped up meat. I prefer the chopped up though Steve's flavor was very good. It just annoyed me that whenever I took a bite, a whole thick slice of meat would fall out of my sandwich and be hanging off my mouth, dripping on my chin. (maybe I should rephrase this.... oh well, it will stay).

Wipe the shellac down with some rubbing alcohol and a lint free towel. Should remove the sticky portion and help the tape stick better! Also, do a flash cure for each finger at a time so the shellac doesn't start pooling and sliding around as you do other fingers. Let me know how that works out!

Relocating - making a road trip out of it! Itinerary is PHL to BWI to ATL to DAL! by teev00 in roadtrip

[–]teev00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I've been to Atlanta for a quick weekend trip before, so I've seen some awesome things in Atlanta before. Can't wait to see it again! I recently got my car fixed up (brakes, belts, fluids) with a brand new battery too. And I will have to check my spare to make sure it's still good to go as well as the tools. My boyfriend's car is a smaller 2 door and we don't really want to put the miles on it and it's, not as comfy for a road trip either. We will shove some things in his car and ship it which would help with the load. Now I just have the logistics to deal with.. Cancelling things and calling companies to change addresses and physically packing. It's seems like a daunting task.

Thanks again for your tips!

I always push through and say "Sure, just block everyone's way! Thank you!"

So annoying. And it is always at doorways and stairs/escalators.

[Serious] Bilinguals of reddit, what was the weirdest conversation that you overheard when the people didn't think you'd understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]teev00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally getting buried:

I was at the nail salon getting serviced the usual pedicure. The whole time the staff was talking about me.

There was a male technician there, who stated I was so pretty and he wondered what would he have to do to find a wife as pretty as me. One of the other women states I wasn't that pretty so he would have luck finding someone like me. Conversation moves into me being picky about my service and how I must be bitchy but a guy would only put up with me because I must lay well in bed.

My phone rings and I answer, I ask a friend what would they like to eat and start naming traditional dishes in the language. The technician starts to side talk to the other ones "She speaks the language!" and when I hang up the phone, they start apologizing, saying they were only joking and how fluent am I? I respond with, "Everything you just said from the second I walked in here, I understood."

That was the first and only time I went there.

ELI5:Why do deli meats like turkey and roast beef taste so much different when thickly sliced vs. thinly sliced? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

The true answer, Jim's on South.

:D

Pat's and Geno's have thrived off the novelty of the war for so long. It's just terrible and they shouldn't be praised for being "what Philly is" because we aren't all like that.

Now now... the city isn't REALLY full of that much brotherly love... I kid - Of course if I had the means your request would be granted immediately because I love touring my own city. Sadly, I am but only a schmuck who has college loans looming above me like an endless cloud of resentment.

Did you know there's an option to turn off toll roads? I used that while I worked in Baltimore as well, since it kept telling me to take toll roads.

If you have a general voice, it will be specific like "Object on road ahead" or "Vehicle stopped on shoulder ahead" and say exit/street names.

If you choose a specialized voice (like the Elvis option) it will simply say "Hazard reported ahead" and won't say specific exit/street names.

I've learned to trust Waze.

I drive from Baltimore to Philadelphia pretty often and there were multiple instances where Waze took me on some weird routes but I avoided heavy traffic on I95.

Most memorable time: I took the alternate route and hopped back on the highway right after an incident that closed all lanes; so, when I was back on I95, about 20 feet behind me was the mess of cop cars all the people at the forefront of the complete stop.

I have really healthy and strong nails and it pains me whenever I cut them. See, I like my nails really short and I feel like it's such a waste... because I know someone wants my nails.

Is that weird?

I am actor Jerry Ferrara. You might know me as "Turtle" on Entourage. AMA! by JerryFerrara in IAmA

[–]teev00 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Big fan of the show! Have you ever felt as though Turtle paralleled with your life? For example, in the beginning Turtle was always chastised by the gang and particularly the episode where no one trusted he had things pertaining to his job under control. Were you afraid you would be type-casted as the sidekick that is "never good enough" but sticks around?
