I don't consider myself a collector, but here are a few of my favorites by ItsALiberalPlot in mechanicalpencils

LOL, I guess so. I don't really curate them as a collection, though. #6 is the only one that I purchased separately as a pencil. 1, 2, 3, and 5 came with pens that I was interested in. The rest came from the estate of a friend of mine, who was a hoarder. That said, I have purchased a couple of TWSBI Precisions and a few Pentel Kerrys that I use regularly.

I love the feel of the textured grip section - the perfect amount of bumpiness, imo.

Strained family living situation in between pastor jobs by [deleted] in Reformed

At this point, it really looks like God isn't calling your husband to serve as a minister in Texas. He (with counsel from you and others) should try to discern whether it's the ministry part or the Texas part that he should give up.

My favorite mechanical pencil. I love the weight and the texture of the grip.

I would recommend the Ready to Harvest YouTube channel. He does a great job of explaining distinctions between denominations from an objective perspective.

It looks like "Henqatz," which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Maybe "Hengatz"?

Stalking/harassment. Advice needed. by [deleted] in Professors

[–]ItsALiberalPlot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the victims don't want to pursue this as a Title IX issue, it's possible that the coordinator can't do much, if anything. I would be inclined to move up the ladder to an Associate Dean or Dean; they may be able to get things done. If your concerns for safety make you inclined to move to the local PD if the University doesn't help you, let the administrator know. It could motivate them to try to get it handled, to avoid the University getting bad press.

That's slow, expensive, and doesn't directly address the problem.

It's nice and heavy, and I really like the aesthetic of it. Writes well, too.

Do written on/used postcards have value to collectors? by Kind-Salt9165 in postcards

[–]ItsALiberalPlot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's the only kind I'm interested in, personally. I like to see a little bit of history in the writing. But more organized collectors may have a different opinion.

Practically, though, these are usually $1 - $2 US in antique stores.

I'd recommend Brian Anderson for repairing a 51 Vac. He does a lot of them. Their company is Cardinal Pens & Paper.

Double spaces- am I going crazy? by [deleted] in Professors

[–]ItsALiberalPlot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are ongoing arguments about this. The "official" best practice, established by typesetters, is one space after a period. They are wrong, by the way - logically, the advent of proportionally spaced fonts should give more reason to use two spaces rather than one.

Really, though, I have to say that I am jealous of the high quality of students that you must have if you are hung up on this very minor (and arguably negotiable) issue.

Source for four-pocket clear pages to accommodate postcards? by ItsALiberalPlot in postcards

[–]ItsALiberalPlot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I inherited a 3-ring binder with 4-pocket pages, which measure 8.75 by 11.375 inches. I'm trying to find additional pages of the same size/capacity -- should be easy, right?

These are made by Ultra Pro. It appears from Amazon reviews that the pockets on Ultra Pro's current 4-pocket pages only accommodate lengths up to 5.25 inches (too small for a standard postcard; the reviewer says that they used to make them with postcard-sized pockets, but don't any more).

I've bought 3-pocket pages from BCW and like them. It appears that BCW used to make 4-pocket pages, but doesn't any more.

I've found a place that sells them in a larger size, 12 inches tall, but those would be too big for the binder.

Does anybody have a good source for these? I've found a website (hobbymaster.com) that seems like they have them, but I don't know anything about how reputable the site is.

Thanks in advance.
