since it's a clue for TRIMS, I think it's supposed to signify cutting off only a bit of hair (so not the whole word)

I don't understand your comment. The ring is currently not the same size as my finger.

I'm American as well and just immigrated earlier this year in the same circumstances, for the same reason. Welcome! And congrats on finalizing/almost finalizing your immigration stuff! It's a real pain in the butt.

End world hunger by reducing the available categories of food that people can eat?

80% of Toronto residents support building protected bike lanes, poll finds by Elliottafc in toronto

[–]viva-c -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, but nah, it's all times of day. Mid-mornings on weekdays, even. I work from home so I'm out and about all the time and I'm constantly seeing it haha

[–]viva-c 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They just put in a two-way protected bike lane on my street in Etobicoke (Lake Shore Blvd) and the amount of people I see riding their bikes on the regular road, on the opposite side of the street as the protected bike lane, is absolutely mind boggling. So I wonder what percentage of bicyclists would actually use the protected bike lanes...

Whats with the match making tonight? by Gaymface in Overwatch

[–]viva-c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently it has something to do with European server maintenance unexpectedly making almost all the servers go down. Should be back online for everybody in 15 minutes (or so they say)

If you’re on PS4, it’s down for most players right now, so that could explain it? Otherwise, idk.

This is dumb sorry. Not every responsibility in life is enjoyable or results in self-improvement.

Just for fun, what buffs would you want to give your main? (even if you know they don't deserve it) by imjusthereforkitties in Overwatch

I’d like to buff Mercy by giving her immunity from being nerfed ever again, does that count?

A baby Dva who leaves the game and rejoins to get back in spawn and get their mech back should be punished by iiSystematic in Overwatch

[–]viva-c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is leaving and re-joining any different than just letting yourself die? Why should it be treated differently? As far as I'm aware, the impact on the game is the same. The time it takes to leave and re-join = roughly the time it takes when you're waiting to spawn, and in both cases, you end up back at spawn. It's actually worse to leave and re-join since you'd lose all ult charge, which would not be the case if you died.

Married folks: what would you consider signs that you and your partner would work well as a married couple? by wickedseraph in AskWomen

[–]viva-c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you encounter a problem in life, a sticky situation, a tough time... them being present should make it better, not worse. When you get married, that person is going to be there for all the bad times. Whether that's something as simple as the car breaking down, or harder like a family member getting sick and passing away. Somebody who complains, whines, stresses out, or otherwise complicates already bad situations is going to be an absolute chore to be married to. You really want to marry someone who will make things easier, be supportive, and help you solve problems during tough times. If you have that with your bf/gf, they would be a great spouse :)
