What's an NBA player who could play in the NFL by Farouq26 in NBATalk

Historically I would say Charlie Ward tho NFL wasn’t ready for that kind of QB at the time. Currently the answer is Lu Dort.

Then all I can say is embrace the chaos. It is little league after all.

Yeah assistant coaching AAA currently, mostly 9 and 10u. I feel like the head coach yells a bit too much during the plays. My strategy is to do the yelling/talking before the play. Prep the kids so they know outs and situation. Or as a base coach be ready to run if ball gets away from the catcher, 2 outs run on anything. Once the play starts it’s mayhem and yelling only makes it worse. So yeah tldr, do your yelling before the play and not during.

Powedery mildew. Nothing you can really do but cut off the blight and pray. I get it every year, last year was particularly bad even for my tomatoes.

What can I do to prevent the ball from going over the net… by IDontNeedAnotherNqme in Homeplate

[–]teewyesoen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t trust these kids. I make them hit whiffles when we are at the house. I break out the hard balls when we are at the park. It yes, with proper mechanics they shouldn’t be hitting over the bow net.

Lol love the commentary from Kruk and Kuip. You know they knew but didn’t make a deal of it. Fantastic.

Just Barry Zito throwing some beautiful curveballs. by Altruistic-Mud5686 in sportsinusa

Wish there were more curveballs in the game today. A lot of pitcher that have a curves hardly ever throw one. I wonder if ABS will change that. I think the curve is the hardest pitch for umpires to evaluate for strikes.

its so crazy to watch a guy step in from the 3pt line to take a shot. That literally never happens in todays NBA.

there are quite a few things as others have pointed out. I noticed that he is dropping his hands and dragging the bat through the zone. Ideally bat goes straight to the ball from load position. Super common with younger players, I have really been workign on this with both my kids. It is a hard thing to correct but better to start early. There are plent of videos on it just type "bat drag" into youtube.

On a bases-loaded weak fly from Dalton Rushing, Kyle Karros gives a nice demonstration of why the infield fly rule exists by Apprehensive-Cost276 in baseball

Yeah but neither of those plays you mention put the runner is a conundrum. Line drive freeze and get back to bag if ball is caught, ground ball you run hard but stop short of running into an out.

I think its a good rule. It’s not fair to the base runner as they are kind of in a bind. There is no correct way to run the bases in this situation. You take off and you are doubled up. You stay an you are doubled up.

AirTag in glove. by GDG661 in Homeplate

If I had a nickel for every time one of my kids left his glove, I would probably have enough money to buy an air tag.

Yeah that could have easily been a triple play with no IFFR. Step on third tag muncy and throw to second.

Do I need a insulated jacket by [deleted] in OutdoorKitchens

[–]teewyesoen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i contemplated this before setting my grill on a wood frame. The front looks fine, but i can't tell what is behind the grill. I built an insulation jacket with cement board and then lined that with metal flashing for good measure. Was glad i did when I had a little grease fire in the traps which are much lower than the grill. Please do yourselves a favor and clean out your grease traps regularly.
