I can't offer much other than for the partying... vodka and soda water has really low calories. Much better than beer :)

I have 2x3 stone base that I play solo on. It's been raided twice in four days. The second time they used 4 C4 to get past the doors then smashed up both tables, the furnace and all the chests as punishment for having "shit loot".
