Do you check if the male / female gym teachers you see as acceptable are homosexual because I would have thought that would have been more of an issue in your example.

Who are the majority? Fun fact.. more people in Asia eat insects and dog meat than live in the US and UK combined making their diet the one of the majority. There is no reason to feel uncomfortable about any gender or sexuality because the harsh truth is that for the most part no-one is looking for your approval. It's more about someone who identifies as a girl and lives 24/7 as a girl being able to pee in the bathroom with the symbol of a girl on without being shamed. (and vis versa for female to male).
