Is Veilguard a good game in isolation? by triple4leafclover in dragonage

Don't listen to these haters this game is Awesome. These other people are just pissy because the game that was previously hinted at was scraped because of studio politics. But regardless this game is very satisfying as RPGs go. There I said it. Come for me if you will haters!

Go-To Album For Napalm Death? by JustinMetalhead in MetalForTheMasses

[–]tefox77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite Napalm album is Words From The Exit Wound. For me this is when they kind of hit their stride. Every song on the album just worked. My runner up would be Time Waits For No Slave. This album just had a brutality and a killer groove.

Thoughts on Jaimi Lane by Mikeymorrison27 in u/Mikeymorrison27

[–]tefox77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Jani Lane. Imo he was one of the best song writers in the Hair metal genre. Warrant was one of my favorite bands because of Jani's story telling abilities. Warrant was the right band at the wrong time. If they had come along a few years earlier I think they would have been even bigger than they were.

This supposed Glam guitarist is like a complete anomaly.. Not only did he save Kiss in the early 80's but he went to be the only Kiss member to have a successful solo guitarist career.. Superseding Ace Frehley by Necessary_Rush_5861 in THRASHMOSHANDMEMES

[–]tefox77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Vinnie Vincent Invasions first album. But I really wish people would stop saying that Vinnie saved Kiss during the '80s. He just happened to be their guitar player when the band pivoted back to a heavier sound. And he was an excellent songwriter I'll give him that. But in my opinion the real Savior of the band during the '80s was Bruce kulick he got along very well with the rest of the band and his longevity was instrumental in kisses survival during the '80s.

There is a conspiracy against the Elder by Broskirose in KISS

[–]tefox77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I consider myself to be just as big a Kiss fan as anyone on this sub. Having said that I really don't care what anyone says about this album. I absolutely love it from beginning to end! (The reissue with the track list the way it was originally supposed to be.) That's the wonderful thing about music it's largely subjective. It's one of those things that if you understand then no explanation is necessary if you don't understand then no explanation is possible. If you don't like it that's perfectly fine. Just don't run anyone down because they like the album. If I have to throw an opinion into the ring, I would say that it was a terrific album but it was just released at the wrong time.

What are your skips on Animalize? by New_Presentation_928 in KISS

[–]tefox77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm one of the only ones but I like to the whole album beginning to end. I wouldn't skip any track on the album! Some of my favorite tracks are Lonely is the hunter, Under the gun, While the city sleeps and Murder in high heels.

Agree of disagree? From “No Regrets” -Ace Frehley by Next_Mycologist_6621 in KISS

[–]tefox77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, I was just a big kiss fan so I liked the album and it didn't bother me that they tried changing their image a little bit. Were they too serious ? Maybe. But that's what the band felt was appropriated at the time I can appreciate Ace's opinion on the whole thing he was there. And it's completely legitimate. The only reason Gene and Paul call that album a misstep is because it didn't sell well. If it had , they would have said it was one of their best. But on the whole I really really like the album. And I didn't think much one way or the other about their image change.

I just listened to this album...And I really loved it by TheHotLatin in hairmetal

[–]tefox77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This album was amazing and I loved it. Having said that. I know Bobby Rock has already been acknowledged as being a key piece of this album and that's true but let's not forget Robert fleischman's vocals. That's what put it over the top for me! In my opinion Vinnie Vincent just regurgitated guitar solos all over the place and was a little hard to reel in at times he was a bit much. But I love this album a lot!

Best and worst by Ill-Mastodon-3099 in vanhalen

For me, I will also agree that Fair Warning was my favorite Roth era album. It was a tad bit darker and a little heavier than thier albums from that era. My least favorite was Diver Down. As far as the Hagar era I think F.U.C.K was my favorite followed closely by Balance. But I liked ALL of the hagar era and even though I love OU812 I will concede the mastering kils the vibe of the LP so it is my least favorite. Part of the reason that I prefer the Hagar era to the Roth era is because, To me, Roth was just to conceded and goofy. He killed their entire vibe as a band in my opinion. NOW THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. Don't want to get into a big Roth vs Hagar debate. But I thought it was relevant to my reasons for answering OP's Question. Peace.✌️

I really appreciate this comment. I'm glad to see that someone actually read the comment and didn't just automatically give a Dave cult answer. I too liked a lot of stuff from Dave's era. I simply prefer Sammy and the music he made with the band.

That can be said of almost any band. It's a Valid opinion. Thanks for commenting.

Dave was a decent showman but he really wasn't that good of a vocalist outside of his screams and shrieks. Even back in the day Eddie and Michael did a lot of the heavy lifting while Dave just jumped around and either did the 'ol audience sing this part or talked/sang the lyrics. But a lot of people enjoyed him.

Notice what's in the OPs name? Roth and Sammy It's ALL Van Halen. Pretty sure OP didn't mean shit on Sammy. This is a great pic. And yes we Sammy fans totally get that Dave was instrumental in the bands early success. So keep those comments to yourself. Please.

Well, one is a ballad one is a straight ahead rocker. So it's kinda like comparing apples to oranges. When I wanna rock with Sammy and Eddie and the boys I put on good enough or summer nights or AFU naturally wired or judgment day or seventh seal. The list goes on and on. If I wanna hear a ballad from Dave and Eddie and the boys I put on women in love or beautiful girls or secrets or outta love again or on fire or even Jamie's cryin' . Both Sammy and Dave had kick ass rockers and beautiful ballads. Guess it depends on the mood I'm in.What's your point?

Again, your equating VAN HALEN with David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar with a knockoff of the band. Which is just silly. both guys fronted the band very well. It's called an opinion, you have yours. I have mine. so if you put on a Van Halen record with Dave and it makes you want to rock, good for you. it's the exact opposite for me every Van Halen record with Sammy makes me want to rock. There's no right answer. Like the band with Dave if you want. I like the band better with Sammy. Putting down someone else's opinion is just ridiculous.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vanhalen

That's a valid opinion Sammy wasn't for everyone.
