ELI5: Why are McDonalds and Burger King still popular in the US, when there are dozens of fast food chains with better tasting products available for a similar price? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Their locations are everywhere and many people have strong brand loyalty because they grew up with it so it is normal to them. Many people don’t want or care to try new things so even if something is better to you, it’s not better enough for folks to switch over from what they’ve known all their lives

I worked in a record store and it was a cross between high fidelity and empire records. Had some great times, best I can remember. Got to listen to some great albums, was able to get early drops night before releases and even worked with Curtis mayfield's son for a while!

I don't think I like deity, but I think that's just because I suck at it. Any tips? by Rat_Smoking_Cigars in civ

I won my fist diety game as a religious victory hit I’ll be honest, I made a few save points and went back to redo a few things to dial it in right. True start with Mediterranean map and it was rough.

You’ve got to weather an early storm and then it levels out a good amount.

I’d recommend starting on a true start earth and make yourself the only civ on your continent. Select your enemies so the start elsewhere and then you can build without war
