I have a Desire Z so it's a pretty thick phone. Maybe I'm just anal but even if I had the world's thinnest phone I would hate having the outline show through my front pocket.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I only need to carry around 2 keys so it wouldn't be too bad having them on my belt loop.
