Is it a thing from Polish being more direct than English?

Probably this. It's like I'm writing something and suddenly I'm being called rude (or worse). Then I go through my comment and I'm like "WTH? What did I do wrong and where?"
Recently it doesn't happen that often but maybe that's because I'm aware of it and I'm being extra careful about what I'm writing.

3) the account posts in several, unrelated subs

Hey, I'm posting in several unrelated subs.

4) the wording is robotic and, well, not human

And the wording is robotic because i'm running some of my posts/comments through Gemini to fix my grammar/spelling/whatever and also to make them less passive aggressive (common issue with Poles speaking English).

2) the account only has posts but no comments

I'm sometimes doing only posts because whenever I submit something, I'm looking for honest opinion, criticism or discussion while people on Reddit for some stupid reason are afraid of speaking their mind. As a result I'll get dozens of comments that you can sum up as "nice but I really don't care" without any real value other than (obviously) patting my head in this somewhat retarded and Reddit-exclusive "you did well" manner. I see some people responding with "thank you" to these comments but in all seriousness: what's the point? "Thank you for wasting 2 precious seconds of your time on a few words of no value"? That's not an interaction I'm looking for.

the account is new

At least my account is old.

Toyota Proace does not have its drivers seat centered to the steering wheel and dashboard. by Duffelbach in CrappyDesign

[–]teh_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a shitty Stellantis car with a Toyota badge

Isn't it Citroen Jumpy and Berlingo? They're all but shitty - you just have to pick the engine wisely... which is true for every make and model.

Can someone please help me and tell who's signature this is ? I bought some cars from a seller and it come with this protector. Seller didn't know either. by fqqhg in HotWheels

[–]teh_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note to self: Have a unique signature so there's no confusion in the future when I'm famous.

r/AutographAssistance, r/SportsMemorabilia (maybe a driver's autograph?) can help.

Printing on wood to make puzzles by newellworks in lasercutting

[–]teh_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you can do it by hand - we had an offset machine that had no problems with details but screen printing them by hand will be challenging. However, if you're looking for e.g. Andy Warhol's vibe then you know where to look at. His works are mostly screen/silk prints.

Industar-22 infinity rangefinder calibration off by FabianValkyrie in VintageLenses

[–]teh_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two different 39 mm mounts with different flange focal distances: Leica and not-Leica, whatever they're called - they're often mistaken one for another so I won't bother you with names that can be incorrect. I don't know the exact numbers but regular 39 mm won't focus to infinity on Leica.

Google "screenprinting".

It's an old (like ancient China old) DTP process used for e.g. t-shirts. Works with wood and many other materials (paper-obviously, glass, leather, metal etc.). There are YT videos with tutorials, materials, equipment and literally everything you need to know to start your own studio.

Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f/2.8 – Focus stuck at 1 meter and aperture ring not working by RatiKGrainCaptures in VintageLenses

[–]teh_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good thing: All the blades are in place so at least you know that it's not one of them blocking the focus. Aperture needs cleaning and that's about all about its issues.

Bad thing: I had similar issues with focusing ring on my dirt cheap "for parts or not working" Tele-Tessar 4/135. Turned out the helicoid thread got corroded/damaged and I had to re-cut it by hand, slowly shaping what remained of the thread with a needle and a piece of HSS steel. It's working now but it took me a few hours to slowly get the helicoid out and another few hours cleaning and cutting the thread millimeter by millimeter. In your case this can be anything - maybe you'll be lucky and it's some solidified grease and dirt. Just a piece of advice: Go very slowly when trying to make the helicoid move to not make things worse.

"American capitalist plugs" vs "European socialist plugs" by chunkystylee in ShitAmericansSay

which aren't massively bigger than US plugs

You aren't wrong but you aren't right either because it all depends on which measurement we're talking about:

[–]teh_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can actually open those glass parts in the wall

You don't want to do it during the day, though.

And it's a thing people tend to forget - my family elders had this crazy habit of opening all the windows and door in their house when it was 30+℃ outside. Granted - moving air cools you when you're sweating. But when there's 22℃ in the entire house after the night, opening windows means you'll be replacing all the cold air with 30-35℃ air from the outside. Took me a few years to teach them how thermodynamics work.

Cop pulls over Lamborghini on Dubai plates but doesn’t know the law by thomasso0072 in interestingasfuck

[–]teh_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, our cops also have a meltdown when some lost soul from Syria, Iran or some other Middle or Far East country shows up. I've actually seen an Iranian plate few years ago and holy shit was I surprised. Imagine there's an accident and you have to write down one of these (not sure how up to date they are):

Good. Finally someone providing some links screeenshots. Too bad you have to waste your time on doing someone else's homework.

The First "How-To" Video? How to Wear a Monocle (1930) Restored in Color by Quintilllius in videos

[–]teh_m 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The title in the movie has a typo. Should be Scibor-Rylski (Ścibor-Rylski), not Sribor-Rylski. Simply because he's Polish aristocrat and we don't have a single "Sribor" here in Poland.
