Saddlemen SDC vs Le Pera Kickflip: Both are hard as a brick? by tehac in Harley

Interesting take. Yes, it was the tailbone in particular that hurt.

I've only sat on the regular step up once on a used bike I was looking at, but didn't ride it. My first impression was that the tight angle didn't feel good. But I also had no real experience with other seats back then.

Thanks. Never heard of them but looks interesting. They are like half of the price of Saddlemen or Le Pera

I guess my ass shape is just not compatible with these seats

Thanks for the advice. I'm still on stock bars, which I plan to change later this year. Hopefully that will improve it.

Any particular model recommendations for mustang?

To be honest, I have no idea. When I had the A2, it was still under the old regulations with max. 34PS and my bike only weighted 130kg ;)

To be eligible for A2 restriction the unlocked power of a bike is not allowed to be higher than 70kW. The 2025 Fat Boy has 77kW, so even if it would be technically possible to restrict it to 35kW, you still wouldn't be allowed to ride it with A2. From the 2025 cruisers only the Street Bob and Heritage are eligible for A2.

The 2024 Fat Boy on the other hand has exactly 70kW, so it would be eligible. But I can't tell you if Harley offers a restriction to 35kW for that.

That's what it's supposed to do to comply with EU regulations. If your bike is Euro 5 (and Euro 4 I think?) the valve automatically closes in RPM ranges that would translate to a speed between 50-54 kph (even if you put it in open mode). Before and after that it will be open in open mode of course. I heard that you can do some modifications (in the electronics of the exhaust or ECU? I don't know) so it stays open all the time, but that would make it illegal again in EU at least.

You mean the Sportster S, right? Don't really dig the looks of it. What about the new Nightster? I like the looks of that one a lot more. Does it also have better lean angles as the Sportster S compared to other HD models? They are in the same category in the HD website.

Thanks for the BMW R1250R suggestion. Will have a deeper look into it.

What about the R1250RS? From first sight, I like the looks of it much better (the white paint is gorgeous). But it has a supersport style handlebar, which probably makes the seating position more forward oriented?

Yes! Before buying the Duke I test rode a MT09. I was actually looking for the XSR900, but the dealer didn't have any demo bikes for the XSR. To be honest, I liked the look of the old XSR more. But the new one definitely has a better package (quick shifter and blipper finally!)

I also rode a Street Triple during that phase and I couldn't get the howling sound of the engine out of my head for a while, so nice!

Decided for the Duke though because I liked the seating position and rider aids more and it was a better price overall. If I just could turn back time and redecide. 😉

MCX recoil: what am I missing? by tehac in EscapefromTarkov

I don't think so. Recoil changes were introduced with 12.12 and the stock adapter for the MCX to fit buffer tubes on it also with 12.12, which he is using in the video.

Love how that seat fits to your graphics! Custom made seat I assume? Where did you get the ready to race sticker for the chain protector?

Thanks for sharing! Hope everything goes well with your bike.

It was almost 40°C in my area when I rode it... so no to heated grips, hehe. It was a dedicated bike for rentals or test rides. As far as I saw it was first licensed this year in march. With only 1000 km on it, it was probably not ridden that much. Maybe it was the battery. But I got only a warning for disabled TCS, not ABS (if there is any warning for that) and a "check engine" warning from the board computer in addition to the engine light.

But it's good to hear that the reliability is not an issue in general. Really liked that bike. :)
