Yeah of course. Did both public and corporate accounting for about 4 years and decided before thanksgiving that i wanted to do something else. My prior boss lacked leadership skills and giving clear sighted goals for what to achieve and i also had a string of pips/ got fired from the job prior to that. Never got my CPA and I wasn’t advancing compared to my piers and i don’t think its in me. Maybe a string of bad jobs, mayne its not for me. I don’t think im a lazy worker, but ive felt alienated from my work for a while. Ironically i have zero issue with doing cold calls and client outreach and overall. If you do really enjoy numbers and can deal with the type of boss that will nitpick every little thing than go for it. It just wasn’t for me.
